Arrive in Tanzania

You will be picked up at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to the Kilimanjaro White House hotel bed and breakfast in Moshi town. You will meet your guide, who will brief you on your upcoming trek and do an equipment check to make sure you have all the necessary mountain gear. The missing gear can be rented on this day.

Marangu Gate (1,800m/5,905ft) to Mandara Hut (2,743m/9,000ft) 
 Elevation Gain: 915 meters, 3,000 feet Leave Moshi early in the morning for Marangu Gate, a 1-hour drive. After gate registration, commence the Kilimanjaro Day hike through the rainforest to Mandara Hut. Lunch at Mandara, a walk to Maundi Crater for stunning views Take photos and descend to Marangu Gate; our vehicles await the return to Moshi and transfer to Kilimanjaro White House Hotel for an overnight stay.

Materuni Waterfall and Chemka

After breakfast, depart Moshi at 8:00 a.m. for Materuni village, 1,800 m above sea level. Explore a small coffee farm, learning about local cultivation and processing. Enjoy a hands-on coffee experience, followed by a scenic 45-minute hike to waterfalls. Your guide shares insights on local plants and traditions. In the afternoon, return to Moshi and transfer to the Kilimanjaro White House Hotel for an overnight stay.

Morning pick-up from your Moshi hotel is followed by a scenic two-and-a-half-hour drive to Maasai Land near Tingatinga at the Maasai Village.
