DAY 1:MOSHI MARANGU GATE TO MANDARA

Kilimanjaro

On day 1 of your 5 days, After breakfast our driver will pick you up then drive you to the office where you receive a briefing and gear check with your group. Then the drive to the Kilimanjaro National Park Gate (45 minutes from Moshi and 2.45Hrs from Arusha). Here you will register and commence with the climb. You and your guide will walk through the rainforest to the Mandara encampment. A side trip to Maundi Crater is a good way to see the surroundings including Northern Tanzania and Kenya.

DAY 2: MANDARA HUT TO HOROMBO HUT

On day 2 of your 5 days kilimanjaro Group Joining tour, you will leave the glades of the rainforest and follow an ascending path on to the open moorlands then the Horombo encampment. You will witness the amazing views of Kibo and Mawenzi. As we cross the Alpine Zone of the mountain you will see giant lobelias and grounsels. Here, you are expected to begin to feel the effects of High altitude.

DAY 3:Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut

The hiking continues, now you will pass the last watering point, walking onto the saddle of Kilimanjaro between the peaks of Kibo and Mawenzi where vegetation starts to disappear into the “moonscape”. At Kibo you will have Dinner, rest and prepare for summit climb that starts in the deep night at 3:00a.m.

On day 4, Begin your ascent in the predawn hours, navigating steep scree or snow to reach Gilman's Point on the crater rim. The journey continues to Uhuru Peak, Africa's highest point, offering breathtaking views at every step. Capture summit memories before descending, stopping for lunch and rest at Kibo. The initial dark climb demands headlamps and warm layers. Slow and steady progress, along with a positive mindset, conquers the challenging switchbacks. The reward is unforgettable.

DAY 5: HOROMBO TO MARANGU GATE

On day 5 of your 5 days kilimanjaro Group Joining tour, You will be offered a warm and delicious breakfast in the morning, after which we will head for the Kilimanjaro National Park's exit Marangu Gate (1,860 m). After your descent the whole group will gather to congratulate you, and then you will have the chance to share your opinions on the trip in the guestbook. Lastly, we will present you with your commemorative certificates (in our office) and provide you a transfer back to the hotel.
