This 6–day Umbwe route Kilimanjaro Hiking is the one of the shortest tour packages to climb Mount Kilimanjaro which is the tallest Mountain in Africa about 5895m, due to the fast ascension to high altitude, this package does not provide the necessary stages for acclimatization, so the demanding stages it is recommended only for experienced alpinists. Trekkers they will be drive from Moshi to Umbwe gate, so it starts from Southern Glaciers and the Western breach through the gate to Umbwe Cave Camp - Barranco, - Karanga – Barafu, Uhuru Peak finish at Mweka Route – Gate back to Moshi.
This 6–day Umbwe route is a great option route and it’s the hardest and challenging route on Mountain Kilimanjaro, the climb is physically requiring a good level of fitness and stamina. The route pass through the dense rainforest then continue to moorland and alpine desert before reaching the summit at Uhuru Peak.

Umbwe Gate - Umbwe Cave Camp
After breakfast, you will head to the Umbwe Gate. And then trek begins by walking through the rainforest, which is a dense and humid forest, after you've finished the required registration procedures. The trail then becom es more difficult as it ascends the Umbwe ridge. You will arrive at the Umbwe cave campsite in the forest after a few hours of hiking. You'll take a nap and spend the night here. Umbwe Cave Camp - Barranco Camp
The journey through the rain forest to the campsite at Barranco continues after breakfast. The Western Breach and the southern glacier are both magnificently visible from the trail as it winds through a rocky ridge. You will arrive at the campsite for the Barranco, which is tucked away in a valley below the Barranco wall, after a few hours of hiking. You'll take a nap and spend the night here. Altitude (m): 2940m to 3970m Distance: 6 km Time: 4-5 hours Habitat: mountain forest.

Barranco Camp - Karanga Camp.
A steep, rocky cliff known as the Barranco wall is where the trek's ascent begins. The trail turns toward the picturesque Karanga valley, which offers views of the southern glacier, after reaching the top of the wall. After a few hours of hiking, you will arrive at the Karanga campsite, which is perched on a rocky ridge. You'll take a nap and spend the night here. Altitude (m): 3950m to 3930m Distance: 7 km Walking Time: 4 hours Habitat: Alpine desert.

Karanga Camp - Barafu Camp
After breakfast, the journey continues in the direction of the rocky ridge-top campsite at Barafu. The last camp before the summit climb is at Barafu, and the trail becomes steeper as it ascends. You will arrive at the Barafu campsite after a few hours of hiking, where you can rest and get ready for the summit ascent. Altitude (m): 3930m to 4600m Distance: 6 km Walking time: 3 hours Habitat: Alpine desert.

Barafu Camp, Uhuru Peak - Mweka
The summit day is right now. The journey starts in the early morning (around midnight) and ascends to Stella Point, which is situated on the crater rim, when you reach the top, you will start the descent back to the Barafu camp for a break and a meal before making your way to the Mweka campsite for the night. The final day's trek begins with a descent through the rainforest to the Mweka gate, which is situated at the foot of the mountain.
