We proceed climbing along the trail out of the woods, entering a savannah marked by tall grasses, heather, and volcanic rock covered in lichen. Climbing through lush hills and crossing streams, we reach Shira Ridge. Descending gently, we arrive at Shira 1 camp. The view of Kibo from the plateau is breathtaking.

Day 3:Shira1 to Shira 2 to Moir hut
Kilimanjaro
We dedicate an entire day to traverse the Shira plateau, an unhurried eastward stroll toward the glaciated summit of Kibo. Crossing this expansive plateau leads us to Shira 2 camp, nestled amidst moorland meadows beside a babbling stream. Our journey persists towards the lesser-visited Moir Hut, situated at the foothill of Lent Hills. These hills offer diverse hiking options, ideal for acclimatization. Notably, Shira stands as one of the planet's loftiest plateaus, granting a unique perspective.

Day 4: Moir Hut to Barranco
Kilimanjaro
A day of varied terrain, we will climb up to Lava Tower for acclimatization and then descend to Barranco Camp through the famed Barranco Wall. The journey treats you to awe-inspiring vistas. Although you end the day at the same elevation as when you started, this day is very important for acclimatization and will help your body prepare for summit day.

Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Cam
Kilimanjaro
After breakfast, we leave Barranco campsite and continue climbing on a steep ridge passing the Barranco Wall, to the Karanga Valley campsite. This is a short day meant for acclimatization. Climb through the unique alpine desert landscape to Karanga Camp. The views are spectacular, and this day serves as preparation for the upcoming summit attempt.

After breakfast, we leave Karanga campsite and hit the junction which connects with the Mweka Trail. We continue up to the Barafu camp. At this point, you have completed the South Circuit, which offers views of the summit from many different angles. Here we make camp, rest, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the summit day. The 2 peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo are to be seen from this position.
Overnight at Barafu camp
Day 7: Barafu to Summit to Mweka
Kilimanjaro
The most challenging day begins with a midnight climb start for the summit push. Very early in the morning (midnight to 00am), we continue our way to the summit between the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers. Reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa (5895meters) above the sea level and then from summit descend to Barafu Camp, we now make our descent continuing straight down to the Mweka Hut camp site for a well-deserved rest.

Day 8: Mweka to mweka gate to Moshi
Kilimanjaro
After breakfast, we continue the descent down to the Mweka Park Gate to receive your summit certificates. At lower elevations, it can be wet and muddy. Gaiters and trekking poles will help.
