A pre-trek briefing with your guide is scheduled, along with an equipment check to ensure you're well-prepared. The afternoon offers a chance to explore Arusha town, wandering through local markets to immerse yourself in the vibrant Tanzanian culture.

Day 2: Begin the Trek - Momela Gate

Arusha

An early start sees us driving to Momela Gate, the entry point to Arusha National Park. The trek begins, leading you through dense rainforests brimming with diverse plant and animal life. The journey culminates at Miriakamba Hut (2,514m), where you'll rest for the night while gazing upon captivating vistas. To aid acclimatization, a hike to Maio Waterfall is on the agenda, followed by a nourishing dinner at the hut.

Day 3: Trek to Saddle Hut

Leaving Miriakamba Hut, you'll continue your ascent, transitioning into the enchanting moorland zone. The Mgongo wa Tembo ridge grants spectacular vistas of Mount Meru's rugged expanse. Saddle Hut (3,570m) becomes your base for the night, nestled amid alpine meadows. After a well-earned dinner, you'll prepare for the upcoming summit bid.

Day 4: Summit Day - Saddle Hut

Before dawn's first light, you rise for a light snack and warming drink, embarking on the arduous climb to Socialist Peak (4,562m) beneath a star-studded sky. Winding through rocky paths, you reach the summit in time to witness the sun's gentle ascent, painting the horizon in hues of gold. The accomplishment is celebrated, and the panoramic views savored before beginning the descent to Saddle Hut. After a brief rest, you'll descend further to Miriakamba Hut for well-earned rest.
