The safari is customizable and can start in Entebbe, Kampala or Kigali. The safari takes you to two parks where you will be able to track gorillas and chimps. Kibale NP is located in western Uganda and it’s one of the greatest rain forest in Africa. This park is famous for the chimps and many other primate species. Bwindi NP was opened to tourists in 1993 and it harbours 348 bird species, 120 mammal species, 220 butterfly species, 27 species of chameleons, frogs, and geckos, and 163 species of trees.

Transfer- Bwindi Impenetrable
Bwindi Impenetrable
Depart from Entebbe after your early morning breakfast as you head to Bwindi found in South Western Uganda home to the rare mountain Gorillas. Along the way, you will have spectacular views from the landscape which starts from the flat lands to the rolling steep hills, it's a breathtaking journey. Have lunch en-route in Mbarara and later proceed to Bwindi arriving in the late afternoon.

Have your breakfast early enough and pack your lunch, after which you will be taken to the park headquarters by your driver guide. You will have a briefing from the Park rangers at 8:00 a.m. concerning the rules in the park, and what to do and not to do when you meet up with the gorillas. Tracking Gorillas takes between 2 and 8 hours. Thereafter, you will start with tracking to ensure you carry enough drinking water, strong shoes, a jacket and a walking stick.

Transfer to Kibale Forest

Start your day with a tasty breakfast check-out from the lodge and start your journey to Kibale National Park. A lot will be enjoyed on this thrilling journey including the scenery in Kabale. You will have a stop to take photos if there is a need as you continue to Kibale arriving late evening.

After your early morning breakfast, proceed to the park for Chimpanzee tracking, it is an amazing experience. You will also have an opportunity to see beautiful birds and other primates such as the White and Black colobus monkeys, Baboons, L’Hoest’s monkeys, Grey cheeked mangabeys among others. On meeting the chimpanzees, it will be amazing as you will watch them jump on different branches, watch them feed and play, and will also see nests in which they rest/sleep.
