Itinerary
DAY 1: NAIROBI- MARSABIT
Depart early from Nairobi (4.30am) on a Land Cruiser and drive north past Nanyuki and the beautiful Farmlands of Timau. At Nanyuki, we will make a stop for you to purchase breakfast and packed lunch or snacks. We will make another stop for a short bathroom break at Isiolo or Archer’s post. We will keep heading north with a stopover for photos and sightseeing at Mt. Ololokwe. we will proceed to Marsabit National park in good time for a lake paradise tour. Dinner and overnight in Marsabit town
DAY 2: MARSABIT-NORTH HORR
Right after breakfast, we leave Marsabit for North horr via Chalbi desert. Be sure to have packed your best attire for the weather. The journey leads you to a beautiful oasis and sand dune at the edge of the Chalbi desert. The tour will take you through the North Horr and Kalacha oasis. We will have hot lunch and then drive to a swimming spot. At 4.30pm we will visit the sand dune and enjoy sunset moments. We will spend the night in Gabra traditional huts.
DAY 3: NORTH HORR –LOIYANGALANI
After breakfast, head out for Loiyangalani, a Touristic town by the shores of Lake Turkana-the largest alkaline lake in the world. We will be welcomed by a small island home to the famous El molo people who are 100% dependent on the lake for survival. We will enjoy a cultural experience at the Elmolo village by learning their way of life as well as their story (carry gifts and donations).. An evening Sundowner by the lake is like no other! Dinner and overnight in loiyangalani
DAY 4:LOIYANGALANI- NGURUNIT
Breakfast and later drive to Turkana wind power project. We will arrive at Ngurunit in time for lunch. Our destination for this day will be Ngurunit, an oasis surrounded by ndoto ranges popularly known for its bird life. We will enjoy rockslides Dinner and overnight at ngurunit
DAY 5: NGURUNIT-NAIROBI
We will enjoy scenic views of Ndoto Mountains before embarking on our journey to Nairobi. Stop over at Nanyuki for you to purchase lunch then proceed with the journey to Nairobi to arrive early in the evening.
