Gorilla O’clock Founder Paul Karanja has over 18 years of experience working in tourism in Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania. Paul was born in Kenya, the son of a well-known Safari guide, and considers himself “born into the tourist industry”. Paul’s passion for and vast knowledge of East Africa as a safari destination is unmatched. With almost two decades of combined safari consultant and customer care experience, Paul is one of the world’s top East Africa Destination Specialists. He brings the depth and breadth of his knowledge to Gorilla O’clock to help you design the perfect safari itineraries to meet your individual needs and budget. As a Gorilla O’clock client, you will also work with a hand-selected team of professional East African Safari Guides. All Gorilla O’clock guides are born and raised in East Africa and are well-traveled across the region.

About our safari vehicles

At Gorilla O’clock we own and operate our own fleet of custom-design safari vehicles. Our vehicles consist of: Safari customized Toyota 4 x 4 Land-cruisers with a pop up roof Safari customized Toyota 4 x 4 Safari minivan / minibuses with a pop up roof All our safari vehicles are well adopted to suit the rugged African terrain, and are fitted with below equipment’s to make sure that all safaris run smoothly in all weather: Pop – up roof Cooler box to keep drinks cold Fire Extinguishers Tow ropes 2 shovels per car Tool box kit and spare tires Sliding windows guaranteed window seats; 2, 4 and 6 First Aid Kit Sliding windows Working A/C 12 volts cigarette lighters ideal for charging phones Some of our vehicles are fitted with a mini-fridge and inverter to charge mobile phones, laptops and cameras. Build with safety and comfort in mind, each safari vehicle is designed to seat a maximum of: 5 seater standard 4 x4 land cruiser we recommend 4 pax to guarantee each pax a window seat 7 seater extended 4 x 4 land cruiser we recommend 6 pax to guarantee each pax a window seat
