The combination of 2 great safari lodges in Greater Kruger enjoy spending 2 nights in the Timbavati Game Reserve followed by 2 nights in the Sabi Sand Reserve. Families are welcome at both lodges hence we have chosen them and also they are both sustainable lodges. Both lodges are good quality and have good variety of animals including antelope, zebra, warthog, hippo and The Big Five including the rare white lions at Timbavati.

Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1-2 Upon arrival at Hoedspruit Airport you will be collected and transported to your lodge which is not a far drive but will be a scenic drive to your lodge for the first 2 nights of your safari. Kambaku Safari Lodge is a 4-star lodge and is fully fenced so can accept children of all ages. Children have the opportunity to become certified junior rangers by the end of their stay, so they will be future custodians of our precious wildlife. Your activities include 2 game drives per day, bush walks and is fully inclusive. The rooms are thatched chalets. Every day is an opportunity to experience travel in the African bush amongst majestic wildlife. Wild dogs, hippos, hyena is examples of some of the animals the seasoned game rangers will be able to show you while on your game drives or bush walks.

Day 3

Kruger

Day 3-4 After your morning game drive and breakfast at the lodge, you will be transported with another scenic drive to Sabi Sand Game Reserve, a famous private reserve with no fences on the Kruger National Park. Your lodge is Notten's Bush Camp where you will experience 2 game drives and 1 bush walk per day. The lodge is over 30 years old so is very well established and is family run so offers a truly authentic African safari with high standard of service. Small lodge with 8 suites. The lodge is good for all members of the family from ages 6 and above.

Day 5

Victoria Falls

Day 5 After your morning activity of a game drive in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, enjoy a scenic drive in an air-conditioned vehicle to the Nelspruit Airport for your onward journey, or you can book an extension to Victoria Falls, Mozambique or continue in South Africa.
