Itinerary

Day 1

Chobe

Day 1-2 From your arrival at Kasane airport, you will be transferred on a scheduled transfer to Chobe Safari Lodge, a popular lodge on the Chobe River, your destination for 2 nights. Your activities include 2 game drives including the park fees into Chobe National Park and 2 sunset boat cruises on the Chobe River. it is the oldest lodge in Chobe so is well established. Lots of facilities at this lodge include a restaurant and 2 bars with great views of the river and the rooms have patios where you can enjoy the views as well. We recommend the game drives into Chobe National Park and the boat cruise that is included for your stay, both activities will be very memorable.

Day 3

Okavango Delta

Day 3-4 After your breakfast and morning activity, check out and transfer to Kasane airport and then you will take a light aircraft charter flight to the Okavango Delta and then a transfer to your next safari camp called Pom Pom Camp. The Okavango will be one of the highlights. This is an eco-friendly tented camp in the heart of the Okavango Delta which has a consistent game viewing all year round, hence we have chosen this lodge. Your daily activities will include Mokoro activities (seasonal), boat cruises, fishing and game drives day and night. The lodge overlooks the Pom Pom lagoon. You can cool down in the camp swimming pool during those hot summer days. There will be a compulsory private vehicle hire required for families of children 6-11. But the property does allow children at the camp.

Day 5

Moremi | Okavango Delta

Day 5-6 After your morning activity and breakfast at the lodge, you will take a light aircraft flight to your next lodge for 2 nights called Moremi Crossing which is also in the Okavango Delta. We have added this lodge as then you get to experience a true water based activity lodge but still in the Okavango Delta. This camp is also 100% eco friendly and is a new style tented camp, it has the latest solar and waste disposal technology. Family tents are available. Great experience to watch the sun set while sitting back and relaxing on the large open plan deck that has a great view over the river onto Chief's Island. Activities also include Mokoro activities PLUS walks on the famous Chief's Island, boat cruises and fishing.

Day 7

Day 7-8 After your morning water activity and breakfast with a great view, you will take a flight on a light aircraft to Maun. From Maun you will then fly to Makgadikgadi and then take a short transfer to Camp Kalahari for your base for the next 2 nights. We have chosen this property as there is the habituated Meerkat family and this is perfect camp for families and the ideal base for discovering the Salt Pans and seeing the Meerkats in their own environment. Plus you get to have traditional game drives and we also recommend you book quad biking or horseback riding and you can partake in bushman walks. The camp is Meru-style tents on the wildlife reserve and children of all ages are welcome as there is a fence around the camp too. They also keep the electricity to a minimum.

Day 9

Day 9 After your morning game drive and breakfast, you will be transferred back to the airstrip and take your light aircraft flight back to Maun Airport for the end of your journey. You will continue with your onward journey.
