Then you depart with picnic lunches for the Serengeti National Park. En-route you will stop at the Mto wa Mbu Village and meet the local tribes and learn a little more about their customs and traditions. You arrive at the lodge, check-in for dinner and an overnight stay. Here you will spend two nights and discover Serengeti – one of East Africa’s most fascinating game parks. In the local language, “Serengeti” means “the endless plains that go up to the sky”. And they do just that! One of most striking features of this park is the series of large granite outcrops that dominate the vast plains, making it very different from Kenya’s Masai Mara. Life in the park centres on the triangular trek of several million hooves. This movement is constant and never stops, just following the good grazing pastures.

Day 5

DAY 5: SERENGETI – NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA (100 KMS – 2 HOURS) You have breakfast and then depart for Ngorongoro. You visit the Olduvai Gorge, a prehistoric site en-route. Picnic lunches are provided. You check-in at the Ngorongoro Sopa for dinner and overnight stay.

Picnic lunches are provided. Return by evening time to Gibbs Farm. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Views and Vistas of Ngorongoro Crater The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the wonders of the world, and words fail to offer a fair description of the enormity and beauty of this crater. The only comparison could be to the Garden of Eden. A steep wall of thick forest surrounds the circumference, which looks like a natural amphitheatre, 260 sq kms in size. An incredible ecosystem consisting of grasslands, swamps, lakes, rivers, woodlands, forests and an arid area of shifting dunes exists here, and thus the crater is able to sustain a vast resident population of game including elephant, buffalo, lion, hippo, wildebeest, gazelle, leopard, black rhino, monkeys and hyena.

Day 7

Amboseli | Arusha | Kilimanjaro | Masai Mara

DAY 7 & 8: NGORONGORO / ARUSHA / AMBOSELI After breakfast, you return to Arusha. You stop for lunch at the New Arusha Hotel and then proceed to Amboseli National Park via Namanga border. Game-drive en-route. Arrive at the camp for dinner and overnight. You will spend two nights here and enjoy a full day game drive. Views and Vistas of AmboseliAmboseli is famous for its amazing back-drop of the glistening snow-cap of Kilimanjaro and also for its large herds of elephants. This park contains five main wildlife habitats plus a generally dry-bed lake, Lake Amboseli. These are open plains, extensive stands of yellow-barked acacia woodland, rocky, lava strewn thorn-bush country, swamps and marshes and the Oldoinyo Orok massif. Here like in the Masai Mara, the pastoral Masai and their cattle have lived in harmony with wild creatures for many a century.
