Itinerary

Day 1 - Windhoek to Sossuvlei

Depart from your Windhoek hotel and journey to Sossusvlei, a breathtaking wonder in the heart of the Namib Desert—the world’s oldest desert and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Travel through diverse landscapes, from bush and savanna to vast dunes. Spot wildlife like ostriches, antelopes, baboons, and zebras. Stop in Solitaire for lunch and its famous apple pie. Arrive at your Namib Desert lodge by late afternoon for rest and relaxation. Distance: 350 km (gravel road).

Day 2 - Sossuvlei and Deadvlei

Before sunrise, drive to Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei, home to the world’s highest dunes and stunning desert views. Capture breathtaking photos and climb the famous Dune 45 for panoramic vistas. Continue off-road to Dead Vlei, where ancient acacias stand against vivid orange dunes. Optionally hike Big Daddy or Big Mama dunes before lunch, then explore the striking rock formations of Sesriem Canyon.

Day 3 - Namib Desert and Swakopmund

After breakfast, travel through the Namib Desert and Namib-Naukluft Park towards Swakopmund, a charming coastal town on the Atlantic Ocean. Along the way, cross the Kuiseb River bed and pass through open savanna and desert landscapes, with chances to spot ostriches, springboks, zebras, and oryx. Stop at the Tropic of Capricorn for photos before visiting Walvis Bay Lagoon to see flamingos. Optional: scenic flight from Sossusvlei to Swakopmund over the Namib and Skeleton Coast.

Day 4 - Optional Activities

Enjoy a relaxing day in Swakopmund, exploring the coast at your own pace or joining optional activities. Discover the lunar landscape and ancient Welwitschia Mirabilis, or take a thrilling quad bike ride in the dunes. Other options include a city tour, Crystal Gallery, Marine Aquarium, Snake Park, or the craft market. Adventurous travelers can try skydiving, fishing, or a bicycle tour of Mondesa. Combine a dolphin cruise with a Sandwich Harbour excursion for a full-day experience.

Day 5 - Twyfelfontein

Travel along the Atlantic coast on the salt road to Twyfelfontein in scenic Damaraland. Stop at Cape Cross to see the seal colony, then admire the majestic Brandberg Massif while passing Damara villages, with chances to spot ostriches, jackals, hyenas, and springboks. Experience the Damara culture at the Living Museum with traditional dances, village presentations, and fire-making demonstrations, all amid Damaraland’s stunning landscapes, wildlife, and rock formations.

Day 6 - Kaokoland and Himba People

Explore Twyfelfontein rock engravings, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Africa’s largest petroglyph collections. Over 2,000 works, created centuries ago by the San people, reveal the ritual and economic life of hunter-gatherers. Continue northwest to Kaokoland, home to semi-nomadic Himba people. Visit a Himba village to witness their ancient way of life, unique customs, and striking red-ochre body paint, traditional jewelry, and intricate hairstyles—an unforgettable cultural experience.

Day 7 - Etosha National Park

Etosha

After breakfast, head to Etosha National Park, Namibia’s wildlife treasure and one of Africa’s most visited game parks. Enter via Galton’s Gate on the western border and drive to Okaukuejo Camp, spotting giraffes, zebras, lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas along the way. In the evening, enjoy dinner while watching animals gather at the camp’s waterhole—a captivating ‘theater of nature’ that continues late into the night.

Day 8 - Etosha National Park

Etosha

Wildlife adventure while visiting waterholes, natural springs and viewpoints of the park. Nighttime game viewing at the waterhole ( optional activity, can be booked the same day at camp's reception: park organizes nighttime game drives in an open vehicle, only with park rangers)

Day 9 - Divundu and Okavango River

Today traveling north-east to Divundu in the Caprivi Region. On the way to Divundu, you will be passing by villages in the rural areas. In the late afternoon arrival at the lodge situated on the banks of the Okavango River. Optional activities: Sunset Cruise on the Okavango River

Day 10 - Caprivi Strip

In the morning 3 hour game drive in Buffalo Core Area of Bwabwata National Park, famous for it’s healthy population of Buffalos & Elephants. Wonderful opportunity for birding on the Okavango River with around 500 different birds species found in this area. After game drive moving along the Caprivi Strip inside Bwabwata NP, with occasional wildlife sighting, this is very smooth drive.

Day 11 - Mudumu and Kwando Area

Day 12 - Botswana & Chobe Park

In the morning travelling towards Botswana border, after crossing the border, we are checked in to the lodge in Kasane. In the afternoon 2 hour game boat cruise into Chobe National Park for wildlife experience on the river. Opportunity for wildlife photography.

Day 13 - Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe

Victoria Falls

Start the day with a 3-hour game drive in Chobe National Park. Pause for lunch in Kasane before crossing into Zimbabwe. Arrive in Victoria Falls, the town near the world-famous waterfall, Mosi-oa-Tunya, “smoke that thunders.” Explore the falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, where the river plunges up to 108 m into a dramatic chasm.
