Arrival & Afternoon Game Drive
Morning: Depart from Nairobi or Mombasa at 7:00 AM on a scenic 4–5 hour drive to Tsavo East. Arrive at your lodge/camp in time for lunch, followed by a short rest. Afternoon: Head out on your first game drive at 3:30 PM. Search for elephants coated in Tsavo’s iconic red dust, as well as lions, cheetahs, zebras and buffalo. Stop at Aruba Dam, a renowned waterhole for wildlife sightings. Return to camp at sunset for dinner and overnight.
Full-Day Safari
Early Morning: Begin the day with a sunrise game drive at 6:00 AM, when predators are most active. Return for breakfast. Mid-Morning: Relax at the lodge or opt for a guided nature walk. After lunch, visit Lugard Falls and the Yatta Plateau, the world’s longest lava flow. Cultural visit to a local community for an authentic encounter with indigenous traditions. Evening: Enjoy a scenic sundowner overlooking the park. Dinner at the lodge and an optional bonfire experience under the stars.
Sunrise Safari & Departure
Early Morning: Embark on a final sunrise game drive at 6:00 AM to maximize wildlife encounters. Morning: Breakfast and leisure time at the lodge before check-out at 10:00 AM. Depart for Nairobi or Mombasa, with an optional stop at a local curio shop. Arrive at your destination by late afternoon.
