Day 1
Day 1: Arrive Kampala On arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your assigned driver guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Kampala check in for your selected hotel for overnight stay
Day 2
Day 2: Transfer to Fort portal Very early morning transfer to Fort Portal with a branch off to Nakayima Tree in Mubende then proceed to Fort portal check in at Lodge Bella vista have lunch after lunch relax and go for a boat cruise late afternoon return to your lodge as you enjoy entertainment from local communities as you enjoy your supper at the swimming pool.
Day 3
Kibale
Day 3: Visit the Palace and Amabere caves After breakfast, we will start our full-day tour filled with real discoveries. We will first visit the Palace and get to learn more of Batoro’s cultures from here we will tour fort portal town and then have lunch. After lunch we will visit the amabere caves and have hill hiking where you will be able to view 3 crater lakes and enjoy the great scenic viewing of Rwenzori mountain there after your driver guide will lead you to Kibale Forest National Park for Dinner and our overnight stay, at Chimpanzee guest house.
Day 4
Kibale
Day 4: Kibale Chimp Tracking After a good rest and breakfast, we go in the forest famous for its families of habituated Chimpanzees. The Park it is home to an astonishing number of 12 species of Primates, the highest Primate density in the World! Here, on a guided walk, we’ll encounter families of Chimps and Red Colobus monkeys, all superb photographic opportunities. In the afternoon we will have another guided walk through the Bigodi Swamps. The Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary it is managed by the Kibale Association for Rural and Environmental Organisation, formed in 1992 with the aim of achieving social and economic development for local communities. While on our guided walk around the swamps, we can distinguish many from the approximately 137 bird species found here, including the Snowy Headed Robin Cat, Black and White Casqued Hornbill, Emerald Cuckoo and a variety of Weavers, Warblers, Greenbuls and Sunbirds. There is also an abundance of butterflies, and rich in vegetation, such as wild palms, polita figs and the dominant papyrus. We return to our lodge For Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5
Kibale | Lake Mburo
Day 5: Kibale / Lake Mburo National Park (drive) This morning we will drive towards Lake Mburo National Park, visit the Ingongo cultural centre where we will first experience the Ankole Culture have lunch after lunch have a short tour of the museum there after proceed to Lake Mburo National Park has a markedly different fauna to other Parks and reserves, and it’s the best place in the country to see the gigantic eland antelope, as well as Zebra, topi, impala, and several acacia-associated birds. The five lakes within the park attract hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of water birds, while the fringing swamps hide secretive papyrus specialists, such as the sitatunga antelope and red, black and yellow papyrus Gonalek. When entering the park, we will spot the Ankole long horned cattle their enormous horns. After mingling a bit with the local people we’ll have an evening game drive. Overnight at your selected lodge
Day 6
Lake Mburo
Day 6: Lake Mburo National Park After breakfast we’ll spend the whole morning in the park, visiting the local community and see how they process ghee, get a chance to milk a cow, observe how they prepare their staple food (matooke), how they manage their families and rural community. We will return to the lodge for Lunch and later in the afternoon we’ll have a boat trip on the Lake, to better observe the wildlife and fauna.
Day 7
Day 7: Mburo / Kampala (drive) Have a horse ride in the morning then return for breakfast at our Lodge check out your lodge and transfer back to Kampala. On our way to Kampala we will have a stopover at the Equator mark, be on both hemispheres at once! We then proceed to Kampala, arriving in the evening to our hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8
Day 8: Visit Ksubi tombs, Buddo Nagalabbi coronation site This morning our guide will drive us unique journey into Buddo Nagalabbi coronation site here its very important place into Buganda’s culture as its where Kings in Buganda are crowned from to be kings, later visit Katereke ditch prison after wards we will have a lunch break before proceeding to Kasubi royal Tombs, the King’s burial place; visit the National Museum and then we return to the hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 9
Day 9: Entebbe –Transfer back home After breakfast, we will be transferred to the Entebbe International Airport in time to catch up our flight back home. End
