Moshi to Mandara Hut

After breakfast, you'll drive to Marangu Gate to complete your registration and start the trek. The trail leads you through the lush rainforest, where you might spot Colobus monkeys and various bird species. After a steady climb, you'll reach Mandara Hut, surrounded by the rich flora of the mountain. This is where you’ll spend your first night on Kilimanjaro.

Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

Continue your ascent through the forest and into the moorland zone, where the landscape opens up to spectacular views of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. You'll reach Horombo Hut by late afternoon, where you'll rest and enjoy the unique high-altitude environment.

Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut

Today's hike takes you across the Saddle, a barren and rocky area between the peaks of Kibo and Mawenzi. The path becomes more challenging as you approach Kibo Hut, your base for the final summit push. You'll have an early dinner and rest in preparation for the midnight ascent.

Kibo Hut to Summit to Horombo Hut

At midnight, you'll begin the challenging climb to the summit. The trail is steep and the air thin, but reaching Uhuru Peak at 5,895 meters is a truly rewarding experience. After taking in the breathtaking views, you'll descend back to Kibo Hut for a short rest, then continue down to Horombo Hut for your overnight stay.

Horombo Hut to Moshi

On the final day, you'll make your way down through the moorland and rainforest zones, returning to Marangu Gate. After receiving your summit certificate, you'll be transferred back to Moshi for some well-deserved relaxation and celebration.
