MATERUNI WATERFALL DAYTRIP TOUR ITINERARY

The Materuni Waterfall Tour is a full-day excursion that offers an opportunity to explore the village, hike through the scenic landscape, and visit the breathtaking Materuni Waterfall. Here is a breakdown of the itinerary:

Departure from Moshi: The tour starts with a pick-up from your hotel in Moshi at around 8:00 AM.
Village tour and coffee experience: Upon arrival in Materuni, you will embark on a guided village tour, where you will learn about the local way of life, coffee production, and the traditional Chagga culture. You will also have the opportunity to taste some of the finest coffee in Tanzania.

Hike to the Materuni Waterfall: After the village tour, you will start a moderately easy hike through the lush green forest, enjoying the beautiful scenery and learning about the flora and fauna of the Usambara Mountains. The hike takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, and the trail is well-maintained and suitable for most fitness levels.

Picnic lunch and waterfall visit: Upon reaching the Materuni Waterfall, you will be served a delicious picnic lunch. After lunch, you can take a dip in the cool water or simply relax and enjoy the stunning views of the waterfall and surrounding landscape.
Return to Moshi: After spending some time at the waterfall, you will begin your descent back to the village and then be transferred back to your hotel in Moshi, arriving around 5:00 PM.
