Like everyone traveling on a budget, it was quiet an experience to visit lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti, Oldavai gorge. To be able to see lions, zebras, leopards, black rhino and many more incredible animals.

We visited park in two days and stayed at Swiss Tan lodge. We saw every day herds of elephants, lions, buffalo, impalas, lots of giraffes, baboons and even shy elands. Hippopotamus in the hippo pool and a herd of 100 of water buffalo, wildebeest and zebras. read more

Mikumi was so great!!! Safari Blue day-trip was one of the highlights of our holiday - the combination of dhow sailing, snorkeling, swimming, dolphin spotting, seafood feasting, fruit tasting and mangrove forest exploring made this the ultimate all-in-one excursion showcasing the best of Zanzibar! read more

We haven't been to Tanzania before and have been feeling very excited our holiday. We started to read lots of reviews from travel web sites but couldn't get satisfied information about really how to plan our 9 day.
Then we found Godfrey from Zanzibar Experience Tour. He kindly answered all our questions and come up with solutions patiently. Finally he presented us... read more

We spent the day in the crater and saw 4 of the big 5. The rhinos at a distance. We saw a leopard the evening before on the drive to our lodge so that made the whole 5.
Amazing place. I hope it never changes.
The highlight was having lions walk past our land cruiser.
The view from the edge of the crater at the lookout is spectacular as well. read more

We had the most fantastic holiday with Experience Zanzibar Tours & Safaris. The first night we stayed at Safari Lodge which was welcoming and comfortable before travelling to the Tarangire National Park (stayed at Tarangire Sopa Lodge - again, spotless, comfortable and very welcoming). After leaving, we drove to the Serengeti (stayed 2nights at Serengeti Sopa Lodge... read more

I was shocked to see just how many animals in Serengeti National Park. I knew there would be a lot but that was an understatement. Every animal here in Serengeti & Ngorongoro is trying to eat, drink, and survive to see another days. Some do better than others like. The lions, cheetahs, and leopards are definitely doing their part. The hyenas pick up the scraps with... read more

The Selous is the Largest game reserve in all of Africa, named after the great explorer Frederik Courtney Selous, who is incidentally, buried in the park at a grave site that can be visited by guests in the reserve.

The photographic area of the Selous is in the northern part of the park, spanning about 3000sq km. The area is mostly flat and steady at about 50-6... read more

Mikumi is the closest park to Dar Es Salaam with an average drive time of 4-5 hours with a lunch break. I recommend everyone to pre-plan your safari with a reliable safari company and ask for a car just special for your group with an opening ceiling.

We spent the weekend in Saadani National Park. You won't get to see your big 5, but this is all compensated by spectacular scenery, location by the sea. Getting there easy and the road to the park (from Dar es Salaam) and the main road through the park are good.

Tarangire is not a huge National Park but large enough to offer 3 of the big 5 routinely (elephant, lion and buffalo). The elephants really are the star of the show. There are many diverse ecosystems within the park offering plains, woodland, swamp etc - so you are sure to see animals congregate in these areas to have access to water and food as needed. Never seen so many baboons in my life. We drove half hour into the park into an opening on the lake that had 100's of baboons, zebras and flamingos running around. Saw at least 10 giraffes and 20-30 elephants you'll see a lot of similar wildlife: elephants, baboons, gazelles. We absolutely loved the hippo pool, but not necessarily for the hippos.

Arusha National Park is lovely little park has stunning scenery that is very different and considerably more lush than that of its northern neighbor. The wildlife watching is satisfying, with sightings of elephants, zebras, giraffes and dik-diks common.

Mara River gets its name from Maasai Mara which in Maasai language means the spotted land from the view of the plains having many trees and bushes that make it look spotted.

This river has its origins in the Mau escarpment of the great rift valley hence the need to protect it as an important water catchment for the Mara /Serengeti ecosystem from encroachment. I... read more

You will see wild elephants and other animals at close range. Mount Kilimanjaro is very clear. An open savannahs park easy to locate animals. I would highly recommend a very early morning drive; this will ensure you get to see most of the wild animals. While in the park, always view the animals while inside your vehicle, only alight at designated spots, safety first! read more
