1) Cape Town

We begin our tour in Cape Town and then head up north to Cederberg region.

2) Namibia

We cross into Namibia and spend the night on the Orange River.

3) Fish River Canyon

We make our way to the Fish River Canyon; the second largest in the world after the Grand Canyon, to admire the towering rock faces.

4) Kolmanskop - ghost town

We continue to Kolmanskop, a ghost town that was abandoned in 1954, a few kilometres inland from the port town of Lüderitz for spectacular photo opportunities.

5) Namib Naukluft National Park

When we enter the Sossusvlei area we are joined by a local expert to learn about the unique desert ecosystem. After the tour you can hike up Dune 45 for some photos or take a rest, before an afternoon excursion to the small Sesriem canyon.

6) Swakopmund

Today we cross the Tropic of Capricorn on our way through the desert. Our first stop is Walvis Bay where we may see some flamingos. On arrival in Swakopmund you will be briefed on the different optional activities available.

7) Brandburg

Then we go to Namibia’s highest mountain, The Brandberg, to see some of southern Africa’s most significant rock paintings.

8) Himba Experience

We drive north towards Kamanjab where we meet with the local people from this area. The Himba are a pastoral people and predominantly breed cattle or goats. Encountering a totally different way of life can be a moving experience for many people.

9) Etosha National Park

From the Brandberg Mountain we drive to Etosha National Park. This park is one of the most spectacular game parks in Africa. It features a salt pan that stretches blindly white in the dry seasons and glimmers astonishingly blue in the wet. Its home to most of Africa’s big mammals and the highlight is watching them come down to the magical floodlit waterholes to drink at night.

10) Etosha National Park

Etosha is the venue for some of the most unique game viewing experiences in Africa. The sparse grasslands allow great opportunities to see animals normally hidden in dense vegetation. You may even see some of the amazing animals crossing the road in front of your truck! We will go on various game drives and spend our evenings at the abundant waterholes for some excellent game photography

11) Windhoek

After an early morning game drive we set off towards Windhoek, the Capital city of Namibia. On the way we stop at a popular craft market where you can barter for handmade gifts to take home. Windhoek is not only the capital; it is also the cultural, social and economic centre of Namibia. On arrival in Windhoek our guide will take us on a short drive through Windhoek in Africangamesafari truck.  Joe’s Beer House is an exciting dining experience for our optional dinner out.
