“The most fantastic experience of my life. Exceeds all expectations, especially the great migration and the amount of lions we saw.” - R_Slatts

The park of all national parks – Serengeti

Views: 314 Visited: Jan 2015 Reviewed: Apr 21, 2015

Your stay in the Serengeti can be an incomparable wildlife experience. Covering an area of 14,763 square kilometers, equal in size to Northern Ireland, the world famous Serengeti National Park is Tanzania's oldest park, and one of the world's last great wildlife refuges. This is where the famous migration of 1.5 million wildebeest and thousands of zebra take place. Its name comes from the Masai word Siringet, meaning 'endless plains'.
We used the camp as base, a break for a sumptuous lunch, a respite from the heat of the day and the finale to a day adventure where stories was swapped around a fire. We did a full day game drive one day and made two game drives (in morning plus afternoon) the next day. Ask your driver guide the day before what is best. During the game drives we saw lions, cheetah, leopard, hyenas, thousands of zebras, antelopes, elephants and much more.
