“Take time to acclimatize if you wish to reach the peak!” - Lisa

Put on your climbing gear

If you are on an African safari that calls for challenge, then the place to be is Kilimanjaro NP. A real mountaineering experience takes about eight days to the Uhuru peak, which is the highest summit on the continent, but am not so sure whether or not I can make it there!

This was a kind of picnic to stretch out muscles and it turned out to be so great. For two days in the woods and increasing heights and abruptly changing temperatures was a real experience.

The coca cola route is the shortest upward and very busy. There is always something to laugh about as people struggle to keep up the pace. Then the night camp fires with no technology distracting and reliving the entire days memories. Then comes sleeping time when I wished if only morning came faster... I could not imagine getting a lion as my night guest!

The memories of this expedition never die in me, they are so fresh! I am going there again soon!
