“Merino wool socks for the very muddy trails! They wick the moisture away so you won't notice your feet are wet for most of the hike!” - FrugallyFickle Traveler

Friendly, and Most Important, RELIABLE Booking Company!

Love Amahoro Tours! I stayed at a low-budget hotel in Musanze, and inquired at the front desk how to arrange a volcano hike at Volcanoes National Park. Within minutes, a person from Amahoro Tours (unfortunately his name escapes me!) was in the lobby, ready to explain the tour options, costs, and answer any questions I had. I decided to hike Bisoke based on his descriptions, as opposed to my original thought of hiking the easier Ngezi option. I'm glad I listened to him because our group stumbled on two Gorillas on our trek!

The next morning, our car, as well as the same rep from the day before, was ready and waiting at our hotel right at 8am as planned (a rarity when most people work on "African time!") and we listened to some french Celine Dion as we rode the bumpy car-ride up to the base of the mountain. We exchanged light, jovial conversation, and apparently he enjoyed it so much, he decided to join us on the hike! Overall, Amahoro tours made my spontaneous desire to hike in Volcanoes National Park a reality through an absolutely painless and headache-free process. I highly recommend this tour company
