This trip starts from OR Tambo International Airport or nearby lodge, through the Panoramic Route of Mpumalanga, to Kruger National Park. After some exiting days in Kruger we leave via Palapye and Francistown to Chobe National Park. We enjoy two stress free days at Victoria Falls, doing optional activities like bungee, walk with the lions, elephant rides and many more. Then off to the Okavango Delta, where we will enter the delta on Magoros, for a real African experience. We return to the bright lights of Johannesburg to say our goodbyes.

Day 1:

Pick you up at 05h00 from OR Tambo International Airport or your nearby lodge/hotel. We depart 06h00 through the Highveld farmland to Mpumalanga” the place where the sun rises” a province with spectacular scenic beauty and abundance of wildlife, lying in the Northeast of South Africa. We will stop en-route for breakfast ( own expense). We will work our way via Belfast- that is 2025 m above sea level and one of the coldest and highest towns in South Africa, to Lydenburg where we will stop for lunch ( own expense).  From Lydenburg we will travel via Ohrigstad and Strydomtonnel to Orpen Gate where we will enter South Africa’s world-renowned Kruger National Park, which offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa.

The National Park was opened in 1898 at the instigation of then- president Paul Kruger. After hunters had considerably decimated the original rich game stock, all the land between the Sabie and Crocodile River was put under the protection of Nature Conservation to ensure the survival of the remaining animals. After entering into the Kruger National Park, we will explore the park and wildlife on our way until we reach our camp at Satara, often referred as “cat camp”. Large cats are frequently spotted in the Muzadzeni area where a large and successful lion pride operates. Here we will book into our lodge or camp, and will go on an open vehicle sunset game drive with park rangers. We will enjoy a hearty dinner together that night. (Dinner)

Day 2:

Up at 06h00, to enjoy breakfast at 07h00. At 08h00 we will leave Satara and most off the day will be spent game viewing, bird watching and stopping at the various waterholes, until we reach Olifantskamp where we will stop for Lunch (own expense). From here we will work our way to Letaba camp that means” river of sand” and the sandy riverbed makes for excellent game viewing particularly elephants, which abound in the area. We will visit the elephant museum that houses the enormous tusks of the “Magnificent Seven” –the seven greatest elephants ever to roam in the Kruger National Park. Later that evening we will enjoy a nice dinner at Letaba before we get to retire to our suites or tents for some peaceful sleep before the next exciting day (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 3:

Up at 05h00, leaving the camp as soon as the gates open and work our way to Phalaborwa where we will exit the Kruger National Park. Phalaborwa is also the only town in South Africa that borders the Kruger National Park. We will stop in Tzaneen where we will have brunch. After brunch, we continue straight to Martins Drift Border Post, where we will enter into Botswana. That brings us to our first overnight destination in Botswana, namely Palapye. The name refers to the Impala antelope, and was one of the fastest-growing villages in Africa. We will book into our lodge or camp and will enjoy a nice dinner that evening. (Brunch, Dinner)

Day 4:

As day break, we leave Palapye to Francistown, the second largest city of Botswana. We will enjoy breakfast en- route. From here, we make our way to Nata, where we will stop again en-route for lunch. From Nata we continue straight to Elephant Sands” the place where the Elephant Rules” Here we will book in to our lodge or camp and will have dinner while overlooking the Elephant waterhole. You can spot up to 800 elephants per day at the waterhole in dry season. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 5:

Early morning rise as we already have breakfast at 07h00. We leave Elephant Sands at 08h00 and make our way to the North of Botswana. We will have a quick stop at Pandamatenga, before carrying on to Kasane, where we will enjoy lunch. At 15h00 we will go on a sunset boat cruise on the Mighty Chobe River, to spot some wildlife in the Chobe National Park. After our wildlife experience, we will book onto our camp or lodge. In Kasane, we will visit the local store, and for those who want to withdraw and change money can do so. Then we will enjoy a hearty dinner together that evening. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day6:

We will be up at 05h00 to go on a morning game drive, with open vehicles into the Chobe National Park, accompanied by park rangers. On our return around 09h00 we will have brunch and will leave there after for Kazangula Border Post, where we will enter into Zimbabwe. We will then continue our journey up to Victoria Falls, so that we can get there in time to make bookings for the optional activities such as white river rafting, bungi, big swing. After setting in at our lodge or camp, we will leave to explore the magnificent Victoria Falls. Victoria Falls is known as the greatest curtain of falling water in the world. Columns of spray can be seen from miles away. At the height of the rainy season, more than five hundred million cubic meters of water per minute, plummet over the edge over a width of nearby two kilometers unto a gorge over one hundred meters below.  We will head back to our camp or lodge for a nice dinner at a restaurant. (Brunch, Dinner)

Day 7:

After we have breakfast, the rest of the day will be spend at our own leisure with the optional activities. The town of Victoria Falls originally became established as a trading post called Old Drift on the Zambian side, of the river where they used to cross the Zambezi. It was moved to the current day location of Livingstone in around 1900. The Lunar Rainbow occurs for three days in each month, generally from January through to about October. The Lunar happens when the water level in the Zambezi River is high enough to cause heavy spray to blend adequately with the moon rays. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 8:

We will be up at 05h00  enjoying coffee and rusks, to leave our camp/lodge at 06h30 and work our way to Nata, a small village where we will have a quick stop to get lunch (own expense). From here we will continue our journey to Maun. We will stop in Maun to buy the necessary stuff and water supply before we will enter the Okavango Delta early the next morning. We will enjoy a hearty dinner together that evening. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 9:

Up at 06h00, to get ready for the Okavango Delta. We will be picked up at 07h00 from our camp/ lodge with open vehicles to make our way to the Delta. The Okavango Delta (or Okavango Swamp) in Botswana is a large Delta, formed where the Okavango River reaches a tectonic trough in the central part of the endorheic basin of the Kalahari. All the water reaching the Delta is ultimately evaporated and transpired, and does not flow into any sea or ocean. We will be transferred on Magoros into the Delta, and we will have the opportunity to explore the beauty and wildlife of the Delta on our way to the Island.

After we reach our destination, we will set up camp, where we will experience real camping under the African sky, with only the basics and the peaceful sound of wildlife.  We will enjoy lunch before we will go on a hiking trail to spot some wildlife in the Island. That evening we will experience a real traditional African barbeque for dinner, while gathering around a huge campfire, and will be entertained by dancers. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 10:

Up at 06h00 to go on a hiking trail to see if we can spot the early morning activities of the wildlife on the Island. On our return, we will enjoy a breakfast, and will get our stuff loaded on the Magoros, before we will take our last Magoro ride in the Delta, back to our main camp /lodge.  We will explore Maun and will enjoy a lunch, when we arrived. Here we can book an optional flight over the Delta. We then will enjoy a hearty dinner together that evening. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 11:

Up at 06h00, to have breakfast at 07h00. We will leave Maun back to Nata Lodge, which will be our last destination for the day. We will book into our camp/ lodge and for those who want to can book an optional game drive of the Makgadikgadi Pans. The Makgadikgadi Pan Game Reserve is a saltpan and one of the largest salt flats in the world. The pan is all that remains of the formerly enormous Lake Makgadikgadi. In wet season, the pan becomes an important habitat for migrating animals, including wildebeest and one of Africa’s biggest zebra population, and the large predators that prey on them. The pan is home to one of only two breeding populations of Greater flamingos in Southern Africa. We will enjoy lunch at the restaurant at Nata. We then relax around the swimming pool, and will get together that evening for dinner. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 12:

Leaving Nata at sunrise through the central Kalahari, after we finished breakfast at 07h00.We will continued to our next destination that will be Francistown in Botswana, where we will enjoy a lunch in the afternoon. (Breakfast, lunch, Dinner)
