“An elephant visit in our camp in the Serengeti and a cheetah hunting Thomson gazelle” - Katrienvan bastelaere

Highly recommended.

We just got back from a trip to Tanzania. We did a safari with Happy World Safaris, 5 days, 4 nights. Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We had a great time, with Tony the driver and Enock the cook.

We opted for a camping trip, not lodges. Mostly because we found lodges to be too expensive. In hindsight, I am so happy we did. Even if you can afford lodges (luxury or not) I would choose camping over lodges anytime! It makes everything very intense: at night you could hear the hyenas going through the bins at the campsite. We had a visit from an elephant in the evening. Zebras and giraffes were very close to our camp. The only thing you need to consider: you cannot leave your tent at night for safety reasons. So if you need to go in the middle of the night, it may be a bit of a problem ;-) Also keep in mind: Ngorongoro is really cold at night. You need to take this into account

About Happy World: go for it. Tony is great: he knows all there is to know about the wildlife (and birds!), general information about Tanzania, he is very patient, very friendly. Enock is a good cook, and a very sweet person. We were actually all a little emotional after saying our goodbyes at the end of the trip.

Joseph is also very nice, has a very flexible attitude (we could leave our bags in his office whilst going on our trip at no extra cost).

If you go, say hi to Tony and Enock from us. Dirk, Katrien, Clara, Cato and Juul.
