“Gorilla trekking in Bwindi, and chimp trekking in Kibale were magnificent. Don't miss. ” - Jhubbel

A tale of three countries: Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania

Views: 797 Visited: Feb 2015 Reviewed: Mar 18, 2015

ETrip Africa did it again, this time Ben handed my itinerary over to Aurelie (with whom I summitted Kili in 2013) and she did a superb job of organizing a three country itinerary for me this past February 2015. This itinerary took me on a guided road trip with my Ugandan guide Alex Guma through Rwandan hills, trekking chimps, kayaking a lovely lake, trekking gorillas and chimps in Uganda and seeing wildlife along a long channel full of hippos and elephants. One of the reasons I like working with ETrip is the quality of their guides.
Alex took matters in his own hands when I got very ill for several days, including the one and only day I was scheduled to go gorilla trekking. Through his hard work we were able to reschedule - not an easy thing to accomplish-but he did it for me. The road trip allowed me to see the breathtaking beauty of both countries, the undulating hills of Uganda, and visit some of the lovely villages and their people. I finished with a Maasai run seven day camel trip in the extreme bush of Tanzania, an experience I'd recommend to anyone who really and truly loves being in the extreme outback with absolutely no amenities. It really teaches you how to love a breeze, a sip of water (even if it's hot enough to make tea) and the joy of an ongoing water fight when you're willing to give up showers.

These guys know how to create a fantastic African experience. They maintain excellent communication. They simply rock.
