Itinerary

Day 1

Moremi

Day 1 – Maun to Moremi (Okavango) Upon your arrival in Maun, you will be met by your private guide and driven to the Moremi Game Reserve. This is a 4-hour drive with the chance of catching great animal sightings along the way. We will stop for a packed lunch and cold drinks along the way. On arrival at your first mobile bush camp, the camp staff will welcome us and you will be briefed and then shown around to familiarise yourself with your new home. We will spend 3 nights in this camp.

Day 2

Day 2 We will rise before the sun; enjoy a light breakfast by the fire before departing on our morning drive to explore the area renowned for its diversity of fauna and flora. We will return to camp for lunch, an afternoon siesta and a moment to relax in camp before heading out again in the afternoon. In the evening we recount the day’s sightings, enjoy the finest bush cuisine and finally fall asleep under a canvas of glittering galaxies, whilst listening to the African night sounds.

Day 3

Day 3 After a cup of coffee brewed on the open fire, we depart on our morning drive, enjoying the flash of flowing rivers, marginal flood plains and magnificent forests, which are home to a diverse array of inhabitants. Animals, birds, fauna and flora, there is so much to explore. We will return to camp for a hearty lunch and a moment to relax with a book, before heading out again in the afternoon to enjoy the magic of an African sunset.

Day 4

Day 4 We will wake early in the morning to enjoy a wonderful breakfast whilst around us the camp is being taken down. We will then take a leisurely game drive with a picnic lunch in a shady spot, and arrive at our new destination, with the camp miraculously resurrected, the shower water hot, a campfire on the go and supper being prepared. We will spend 4 nights in this new camp.

Day 5

Day 5 After an early breakfast we will explore the surrounding areas. The natural beauty of the contrast between Mopane woodlands and aquatic vegetation is astounding and brimming with incredible bird and wildlife. Back to camp for lunch before our afternoon drive.

Day 6

Okavango Delta

Day 6 Today will be spent boating along the channels of the Okavango Delta. This allows for fantastic birding photography, Red Lechwe sightings and the possibility of viewing the elusive and rare Sitatunga. We will enjoy a picnic lunch on one of the wilderness islands, watch elephants bathe, dip our toes into the crystal clear waters and perhaps even catch 40 winks under a shady tree.

Day 7

Day 7 The last day on safari is spent exploring the area looking for big game, stopping mid morning for a tea break in an ideal location. We return to camp late afternoon for our last African sunset, a hot shower, stories around the campfire and a three–course dinner served with fine South African wines, before tucking in for the night.

Day 8

Moremi

Day 8 – Moremi (Okavango) to Maun After breakfast, we say our goodbyes to the camp staff and depart by road back to Maun for your onward arrangements, hopefully catching a few more exciting sightings along the way.   Itineraries are subject to change due to reasons beyond our control.
