Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara – Kenya You will be picked up in Nairobi at your hotel or the airport at 7:00 AM. Drive through the highlands of Limuru and down the Great Rift Valley. You shall have a stop over in Narok town where you have a bathroom rest, top up fuel and stock up on any snacks, soft or alcoholic drinks you want to buy for yourself, this is the last major town and is the gateway to the Masai Mara region. Drive on to Masai Mara arriving for lunch at 1:30 PM at camp. Located next to the Masai Mara Game Park, right near the gate of the park, the camp blends in with the African Savannah and is located in a forested area to keep you cool in the shade away from the mid-day sun. Camp has en-suite bathroom with hot water and flush toilet. It also has beds and bed linen plus a mosquito net over the bed to keep away the pesky insects as you enjoy your sleep. Proceed on an afternoon game drive till sun down, before returning to camp for rest and dinner. Enjoy a log fire by the camp as the Masai guards regale you with stories of their exploits of yester years when to graduate to man hood a Masai boy had to fight and defeat a lion while only armed with a spear. Retire to your tent for rest and overnight.
