About me

After more than a decade in humanitarian service and trial on various ventures, I decided to explore the world. So, with only a backpack and a dream, I set off for a trip around the world. My adventure marked the beginning of a completely new path—one that eventually led me to found Go Volunteer Africa, a volunteer travel social enterprise that offers low cost volunteer program, adventure tours, wildlife safaris, exotic holidays and travel services.

My name is John Burns and I am the founder and team leader at Go Volunteer Africa. If you choose Africa as your next destination for volunteer travel adventure, my team across the continent would like to be your personal guide and travel advisor.

I have traveled extensively all across Africa and I have visited each and every country where we offer our programs. Our volunteer and travel programs have been successfully introducing people from all around the world to the wonders and excitement of this beautiful continent for many years.
