Day 1: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

Pick up from Hotel at 0830am and drive on tarmac road 130km (2hrs) with lunch box to Lake Manyara National Park (330 sq km) on the base of the Great Rift Valley, for the Afternoon game drives. Lake Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Highlights include thousands of pink-hued flamingos on their perpetual migration, as well as other large water birds such as pelicans, cormorants and storks.
The park is home to Lion, Hippo, Elephant, Zebra, Buffalo, Giraffe, Baboon, Blue and Vervet monkey, Warthog and more. This small park contains also five distinct vegetation zones. Thus supporting a large variety of birds and animals. In this park canoing has recently been added to the tourist activities in this park at extra cost. This is a great way to see the park from a new perspective. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park - Serengeti National Park

Breakfast at around 0600am. Pick up from the Camp at 0700am and drive to the Great Serengeti National Park (14,763 sq km or 5,700 sq mile’s) with your Picnic Lunch Packed and game drives via Ngorongoro Crater rim where you will visit Masai village in Kimba. This village is worth visiting if you want a set up type photo of men and women dressed in traditional garb. Thereafter proceed to Serengeti National Park the home to lion, leopard, Elephant, Cheetah, Buffalo, Zebra, Wildebeest, Eland, Wild dog, Gazelles, Crocs and more. Serengeti is one of the most comprehensive and appealing internet presentations on nature, conservation and research in general. Every day, hundreds of nature-lovers and tourists from all over the world visit the virtual Serengeti. Today it is one of the most famous national parks on Earth, renowned for its magnificent lions but best known for its great migration. Lots of birds including the Eurasia migrants. Dinner and Overnight at Serengeti Seronera Campsite.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, continues with both morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti national Park. The Serengeti National Park is famous for the 'Great Migration', over one million wildebeest and two hundred thousand plus zebras each year follow the rains. In October and November they travel from the mountains of the north, southwards to the plains seeking lush pastures. After the great rainy season in April, May, and June the herds then make their return ward journey. Even without this mass migration, the Serengeti is still an exciting and spectacular place that still cannot fail to enthrall. Although sexually mature in their early teens, elephants generally only start to mate at about 20 years and stop bearing calves at about 50. Like humans, elephant cows experience something similar to menopause. Many of the age-related illnesses also bear strong resemblances to those of humans, including cardiovascular diseases and arthritis. Dinner and Overnight at Serengeti Seronera campsite.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater Rim

Wake up at 0600hrs for early morning game drives in Serengeti at 0900 hrs back to the campsite for breakfast. Here in the Serengeti region you can often watch wildebeest and zebras next to lions and other big cats such as leopards and cheetahs. On the way you will pass the Olduvai Gorge where the English pair, Louis and Mary Leak pioneered excavation work. In the sixties some of the earliest archaeological deposits of human evolution was found and a small museum (visit optional) documents these discoveries. Then check out and drive with lunch and game viewing en route to Ngorongoro Crater Rim. Elephants, like humans, enjoy clearly defined stages of their lives, each lasting for several years, even decades. Stages are characterised by structured roles and duties. These fascinating creatures continue to amaze researchers in terms of their insight and resourcefulness. Dinner and Overnight at Ngorongoro Simba "A" campsite.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Floor - Arusha

Wake up early morning for breakfast then at 0730hours drive to Ngorongoro Crater where you will descend into the Crater floor (19.2 km of diameter, 610m deep, 304 sq km) for game drives. All the Big five Rhino, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Elephant live in this wonderful caldera, and many more mammals. Birds includes flamingos on the Soda lake, Geese, Storks, Vultures and more. Break for lunch at Ngoitoktok spring Picnic site. Ngorongoro Crater is often called 'Africa's Eden' the '8th Natural Wonder of the World'. A massive extinct volcano, its towering tree lined walls drop thousands of feet to a "Noah's Ark" of animals on the verdant floor below. This breathtaking oasis provides a haven for both predator and prey to live among grasslands, fresh springs and the large soda lake. Nowhere else can such a diversity in wildlife be experienced in such a short period of time. After lunch proceed with game viewing while ascending the Crater and drive to Arusha.
