Day 1 Depart from London Heathrow on the evening, overnight flight to Cape Town.
Day 2 On arrival in Cape Town you will be met by our representative who will hand over your travel documents, including the personalised Travel Digest that we will prepare for you, and transfer you to your hotel. The Travel Digest will give you detailed driving directions for every leg of your journey along the Garden Route.
Located in the heart of Cape Town’s vibrant Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, offering an unrivalled view of both Table Mountain and the Marina, the hotel Cape Grace has the most enviable location in the city.

Day 3 – 6 During your three full days to explore Cape Town, we recommend that you try the hop-on, hop-off sightseeing bus that tours the main sights in the city, or explore on foot or by cab, as the city is not large and is easy to navigate. If you would like to visit Robben Island, the infamous prison of Nelson Mandela, the ferries depart from the V&A Waterfront close to the hotel. We recommend that you pre book these tickets as they can be sold out during the busy season. (We can assist with this.)
Day 7 Your Avis Group B (VW Polo Hatch or similar) hire car will be delivered at 09h00 to the hotel and using your travel digest, you will depart from central Cape Town to the Cape Winelands about an hours drive away. Enjoy the scenery as you travel through the mountains to the village of Franschhoek, South Africa’s gourmet food and wine capital. Your accommodation is at La Petite Ferme, a working wine estate with magnificent views across the Franschhoek Valley. Set within an intimate, interlacing labyrinth of garden pathways are five secluded luxury guest suites, each with a personal plunge pool. Stunning interior decoration and full amenities ensure exclusive comfort with romantic charm. Fly fishing, wine tasting, golf, cycling and horse riding can be enjoyed within close proximity.
Spend 2 nights at La Petite Ferme in a Vineyard Suite on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 9 Drop off your hire car at Cape Town Airport before catching the mid morning flight to the Kruger region. Arrive in the Kruger at lunch time, where you will be met at the airport and then transferred to the Safari Lodge.
The Lodge is situated among dense stands of knobthorn and jackalberry trees along the meandering Manyeleti River in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, which forms part of the greater Kruger National Park. About one hour drive from Hoedspruit airport and 6 hours from Johannesburg.
With its Moroccan-styled suites that have been sensitively designed to blend with the environment and carefully positioned to enhance privacy, this is a must for the romantic at heart. Day 12 A final morning’s game drive before you are transferred back to Nelspruit airport for your direct flight to Vilanculos. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Marlin Lodge.
Marlin Lodge is situated on the south western shore of Benguerua Island, 14km from the Mozambican mainland town of Vilanculos. The lodge is constructed of Mozambican hardwood, reed-clad walls and thatched ‘jecca’ roofs, in harmony with the pristine natural surroundings. Furnishings are in colours that reflect the lush green island foliage and the bright blues of the ocean. Meals are served under cover, around the main pool area, or at the sumptuous beach barbecues.

Day 17 A final morning swim and breakfast before you are collected and taken back to the mainland for the afternoon flight to Johannesburg. On arrival cross to the Intercontinental Hotel located a 2 minute walk from the International Departures. Enjoy a sundowner drink on the terrace and some final rays of sunshine before you check in for the evening, overnight flight back to London Heathrow.
