following a calm breakfast we will set off from Entebbe and drive west to the town of Fort Portal, having a packed lunch on the way. Fort Portal lies in the shadow of the magical “Mountains of the Moon” and is well-known for its numerous tea plantations. From this attractive Fort Portal we will go on to Kibale National Park, driving through the Crater Lakes region. Here we will certainly travel around some of the small lakes, prior to heading to our place of accommodation for the night. Today the Kibale forest opens to us its doors for a thrilling chimp tracking. Kibale Forest is popular of holding the largest diversity and highest population of primates in the whole of East Africa. Enjoy an exciting guided nature trek in the humid rainforest as you look for the wild chimpanzee, white & black colobus monkey, the red-tailed monkeys and many more. Following a warm lunch we head to the Bigodi Swamp for yet a different guided nature walk. The walk in the Bigodi Swamp is a project by the local community and is well-known for its prolific birds plus primates’ diversity. Dinner and slumber in the deluxe luxurious safari tents of the impressive Primate Lodge Kibale.
Following a scrumptious breakfast we will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park at leisure. After lunch, relax by the pool and later go for a game drive looking of the initial Africa wildlife, among which are warthogs, waterbucks, elephants and buffaloes. Dine and sleep at Mweya Safari Lodge.
Begin the day early with an exciting game drive in the morning on which you will go to the Uganda Kobs’ mating ground. We look for lions, buffaloes, antelopes, elephants, and other additional wild animals living in their very natural habitat prior to returning the camp for lunch. After lunch we take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which is a natural channel joining Lakes Edward and George. You will marvel at the plentiful bird-life dwelling in this area, and the elephants, hundreds of hippopotami and buffaloes that gather to cooling off along the shores. Following breakfast we drive heading south, through the southern part of the national park in case the road conditions are good. This part is known as the Ishasha and is renowned for its tree-climbing lions. After a brief game drive through the area we will proceed to Bwindi. As we driving past a green countryside, we will see traditional homesteads as well as enjoy splendid views. Arrive in Bwindi National Park in the afternoon; this is habitat to the endangered great mountain gorillas. Dine and sleep at Mahogany Springs
Today is the highlight of this safari; meeting the tranquil giants of Bwindi Forest! This expedition will much be loved especially by hikers as you tracking in the stunning Eco-system within the park. Look forward to trekking a long distance on the steep muddy slopes of Bwindi, sometimes with a visual projection of rain, before you come face to face with any mountain gorillas. However it will be worthwhile as you finally encounter them closely as they feed, play as well as rest. This is an exceptional as well as unforgettable encounter!
Those who are not interested in gorilla tracking can opt for a guided forest trek or explore the neighboring communities like the Buhoma Village. Dine and sleep at Mahogany Springs.
On having breakfast we leave the Bwindi impenetrable forest and drive to Lake Mburo National Park. On our entry into the park we are likely to see some wildlife. Following checking-in you will enjoy a boat ride on Lake Mburo and marvel at the abundant bird-life as well as the numerous hippos that gather to cool off by the lake. Enjoy an early dinner prior to setting out on a game drive in the night in a comfy open Land-Cruiser with spotlights. This exceptional game drive goes for 2 to 3 hours and offers 30 percent opportunities of seeing the hard to pin-down leopard in addition to other night-time animals. Slumber at Mihingo Lodge
Begin the day early to enjoy a guided nature-walk with a ranger. Lake Mburo NP is the sole national park in Uganda where you can enjoy a safari on your foot. Return for breakfast at the lodge.
