Travel to all the top destinations in Uganda namely the Murchison falls, Kibale forest, Queen Elizabeth national park, Bwindi impenetrable national park, and Lake Mburo. This tour covers all the key attractions in 12 days

Day 1: Murchison Falls National Park

Pick up in the morning from your hotel or Entebbe Airport. Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park which is Uganda's largest park via the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Covering 3,840 sq kms of savannah, rainforest and hills, this is Uganda's largest park. Check in at the hotel followed by lunch.

After lunch visit the "top of the falls" for your chance to view the magnificence of the Nile. The River Nile cuts the park into half where it crashes through an impossibly narrow 7 m gap in a cleft rock creating a powerful foaming torrent due to the difference in height. The murchison falls are a splendid sight due to its power rather than the size.

Day 2: Murchison Falls

Enjoy the early morning game drive via the Nyamsika Plateau, where you may spot a variety of widlife such as  buffalos, elephants, lions, giraffes, hartebeests and many other animals. 

After enjoying lunch, proceed for a boat cruise upstream to the foot of the mighty falls which offers you a chance to explore the diversity of the scenery. It is a bird spotters paradise and is especially good for seeing the bizarre looking and very rare shoebill (or whale-headed) stork .At the banks of the river you will see red-eared hippos and large nile crocodiles . The boat stops a few meters from the "Devil’s Cauldron".  Admiring the amazing falls you can also take pictures.

Day 3: Kibale Forest National Park      

All day drive south via Hoima to Fort Portal through verdant countryside and past traditional homesteads and farms. Fort-Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon.

Day 4: Kibale Forest

Today, you shall spend all day in search of Chimpanzees and 10 other primate.

Pick up from your hotel proceeding to The Kibale equatorial rainforest known for its highest concentration of primates in the world, including about 500 chimpanzees. All day search of chimpanzee and other primates including the red tailed and gray - cheeked mangabey, l'hoestes monkey, red colobus. This Forest is also the richest forest in Uganda, in terms of the number of plant species, as the area is one of the few large expanses of forest in East Africa where lowland and montane communities merge. As you walk through the ancient forests, the guide will provide detailed explanations, not only on primates, but also on the diverse fauna and flora including the medicinal plants to ensure that the walk is informative and enjoyable. This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and seeing primates at close quarters. For botanist and ornithologists, this Park is a paradise with its varied flora providing a plentiful habitat to many species of butterflies and birds.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park  

Breakfast at the lodge.
Thereafter, depart for Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary to search for smaller mammals and primates. Look out for the rare red colobus monkey and the sitatunga. The guided circular trail through the swamp is also one of the best guided bird trails in East Africa as well as offering a realistic opportunity to see up to six different primate species in a space of a few hours.

Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Ruwenzori Mountain range for much of the journey. Enjoy game drive en route to your hotel with views of lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, hyena and a variety of antelope species.

Enjoy the unique 2 hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water's edge. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colourful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth   

This day, you will have two game drives, offering you a chance to view Queen Elizabeth National Park which has the highest biodiversity ratings in the world. This is due to its grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes, volcanic craters and its abundance wildlife.The wide bio-diversity of habitats means that the Park contains the most astonishing number of species - almost 100 types of mammals and about 606 different birds which has made it a unique park most liked by tourists. 

During the game drive in the park, you will be able to see the mighty Ruwenzori Mountains as a backdrop and also get a chance to see varous wildlife such as Elephants, leopards,  lions, African Buffalo, Uganda kob, Giant forest hog, Bushbuck, Defassa waterbuck and Topi.  Combined with the boat trip up the Kazinga Channel (taken the day before), these two game drives are memorable methods of discovering abundance wildlife and scenery.

Day 7: Ishasha Sector Queen Elizabeth

Early morning transfer to Ishasha Area of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Ishasha covers an area of about 100km south of Mweya. The scenic beauty, the size of the euphorbias and combination of riverine forest including Ishasha River, Savannah plain and equatorial forest makes this a memorable day, only found in Africa. The wildlife includes The tree climbing lions, rare shoebill stork and many others

Day 8: Ishasha Sector Queen Elizabeth

Day 9: Bwindi National Park    

Breakfast at your hotel.
Drive through the "Switzerland of Africa" area known as the Kigezi Highlands with its terraced hillside and winding roads to Bwindi. 

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is located in South West of Uganda. It covers an area of about 330km2 of thick vegetation draped over very fissured landscape of the steep ridges and slippery valleys.  This is a magnificent green swathe of dense rainforest and is one of the most biologically diverse areas on earth and it has been acknowledged as the World Heritage Site. Its habitat to highly endangered species including Mountain Gorillas, L’Hoest’s monkeys, Chimpanzee, African green broadbill and many others

Day 10: Bwindi, Gorilla Tracking  

Early morning entry into Gorilla sanctuary for Gorilla search. This rainforest is spectacular. 

Bwindi offers a dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but criss-crossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. Mammals recorded here include the endangered mountain gorilla, rare golden monkey, buffalo, elephant, black-fronted duiker, bushbuck, leopard, giant forest log and others. This park is best known for the fascinating gorillas. The time taken and the terrain varies according to the movements of this marvelous primates. The thrill of spending time and observing the gorillas is a rare, moving, awesome and exciting adventure. The gorilla is a shy and peaceful animal and it is unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact. Spend an hour or so with the gorillas then enjoy the rest of the afternoon relaxing. Later, drive back to your hotel.

Day 11: Lake Mburo National Park

Breakfast at your hotel, pick up by your driver guide and proceed to Lake Mburo National park. 
It is the only park in Uganda to contain an entire lake. A boat ride on the lake will enable you to spot crocodiles, hippos and a wide diversity of birds. This is the only park where you are not entirely imprisoned in a vehicle. Quite Interesting!

Its mosaic habitats of dry hillside, rocky outcrops, bushes, thicket, open wooded savannah, forests lakes and swamps are home to surprising diversity of plants and animals. Its attractive  savanna (158 square miles) inhabits huge herds of impala, The rare topi, klipspringer, herds of zebra, Cape buffalo and eland. Birdwatchers will enjoy the more than 250 species of birds found in Lake Mburo including; Brown faced Lapwing, Carruther's Cisticola, the extraordinary White winged Warbler and Bare-Faced-Go- Away bird.You can also catch a glimpse of waterbirds diving for fish, the maribou stork, bee-eaters, as well as the majestic crowned crane.

In the evening, enjoy game drive along the Lakeshore track. With its own system of game trails and cleared walkways the "Kigambara Loop" offers interesting guided lakeside walks. 
Here, you shall spot herds of zebra, Cape buffalo and eland. Oribi and topi are easily approached.

Day 12: Kampala

After breakfast, proceed for a game drive or a safari walk under the escort of an armed ranger. The Kopjes are particularly interesting and camouflage kilpspringers and topis. Due to cattle herding in the area it is amusing to see zebra grazing alongside the long horned Ankore Cattle peaceably. Return for lunch which should be taken leisurely enjoying the view of the lakes in this park.

After lunch, drive back to Kampala stopping at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers en route where you will able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through generations. There will also be time to stop at the equator for photographs. You arrive Kampala in the early evening.
