Days 1 - 4
You arrive into Kilimanjaro airport today where you will be welcomed and transferred to the smaller, domestic Arusha Airport to begin your adventure with a light aircraft flight into the Serengeti, landing at Ndutu airstrip on the southern point of the park bordering the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Here you are collected and take an exciting game drive through to the stunning, classic tented camp that is Alex Walker's Serian Serengeti South. Your home for the following 4 nights this barefoot luxury camp includes a private vehicle & guide as standard meaning that your safari experience is entirely personal and tailored to your every whim. You spend your time exploring 'the greatest show on earth' with each game drive bringing a cocophany of mooing gnus and braying zebra. It's birthing season in the Serengeti and tottering hooves abound.
Days 5 & 6
Today you have a full day driving, heading from the Serengeti through to the Ngorongoro Crater. You drop into this breath-taking 'bowl of wildlife' stopping in the crater floor for a picnic lunch whilst taking in this incredible micro-environment and ecological and geological phenomenon, before continuing with your journey. You'll begin your ascent, climbing out over the crater rim before once again dropping and heading to the lovely, petite, Lake Manyara National Park. You have 2 amazing nights here in the stunning Lake Manyara Tree Lodge - the epitomy of safari chic and rustic luxury, spending the days in search of tree climbing lions and evenings dining by candlelight.
Days 7 - 10
Bidding farewell to your guides, hosts and safari lifestyle you take a light aircraft flight today, from Lake Manyara airstrip to Zanzibar island. You will be collected and transfered across the island, before taking a boat transfer out to the utterly private Mnemba Island. Oozing barefoot 'Robinson Crusoe-essque' chic, this sandy paradise is your final African home of the trip. You spend 4 nights relaxing, snorkelling, diving, swimming and beachcombing under the shadow of palm trees.
After a final beachside breakfast you'll begin your journey home with a boat-ride back to Zanzibar Island and a vehicle transfer to the airport to check in for your international flight home.
