The area home to Samburu tribe, pastoral relatives of the Masai. The Samburu Game Reserve is situated in the hot and arid fringes of Kenya's vast Northern Frontier District. Samburu Reserve as a safari destination has rugged and dramatic landscape, the Owasso Nyiro river runs along the southern boundary dividing Samburu Game Reserve and is home to crocodile and hippo with the many animals visiting to drink during the heat of the day. Buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, and unique species onto Samburu game reserve include the beisa Oryx, the long necked Gerenuk, Gravy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and the Somali ostrich among other plain games of these reserve.
Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu.
You will be picked up in the morning after breakfast at your Nairobi city hotel or at the Jomo Kenyatta airport and drive north to Samburu National Reserve. Arriving in good time for lunch. Freshen up and relax before proceeding for an afternoon game drive in the park for a chance to see, the reticulated giraffe, the Gravy’s zebra gerenuk, Beisa Oryx and a host of the big game including elephant and lion. Meals and overnight at your pre-booked safari lodge or camp in Samburu reserve.
Day 2: Full Day on Safari at Samburu Game Reserve.
You will spend this full day in Samburu national reserve with early morning and afternoon game drives. Dinner and overnight at your pre-booked safari lodge or camp in Samburu reserve.
Day 3: Samburu Nairobi.
Wake up early for your last morning game drive, return later in the camp/lodge for breakfast and drive to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch. Lunch at carnivore Carnivore restaurant afterwards drop off at your respective hotel or Airport.
