Kenya Safari - Amboseli, Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara

This week-long trip will take you to some spectacular game drive parks in Kenya - Amboseli, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara. Amboseli National Park is at the core of an ecosystem that spreads across the Kenya-Tanzania border. The park is famous for getting close to free-ranging elephants, buffaloes, impalas, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras and wildebeests, among other African animals. There is also a host of Kenyan birds, both large and small that you can see here. The park also offers spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world. Lake Nakuru is one of the alkaline Rift Valley lakes and a fantastic bird sanctuary, with its shores populated at times by more than one million flamingos; a sight that inspired the famous ornithologist Roger Tory Peterson to call it "the greatest bird spectacle on earth". Masai Mara Game Reserve is Kenya’s finest and best-known game reserve. This traditional land of the Masai people, nomadic herders who choose a traditional lifestyle, comprises 200 square miles of open plains, woodlands and riverine forest. Contiguous with the plains of the Serengeti, the Mara is home to a breathtaking array of life.
