At 8.00am we set off for Masaka to see the Equator, then on to Lake Mburo for lunch followed by a horseback ride safari that is unique to the park. You will catch a glimpse of the Eland, found nowhere else in Uganda. After the horseback safari dinner is served and you shall retire for the day.
Breakfast starts off an eventful day as you'll go on a game drive, return in time for lunch, proceed to a nature walk and participate in an expert-guided bird watching session. Lake Mburo National Park has one of the most varied landscapes in Africa-from forest to open savanna, accacia woodland to rock kopjes, from seasonal & permanent swamps to the open lake itself-there's no shortage of sights & sounds.
A tasty dinner will end the day.
A hearty breakfast prepares you for a long scenic drive to Lake Bunyonyi. Shortly after arrival you a boat trip will take you around the breath-taking islands. Bunyonyi means "Place of little birds" and the scenery is like something out of a storybook, truly magical.
After dinner you will retire for the night.
The day will be spent hiking through the hills on the countless islands in the area and visiting the local community and their industries such as basket weaving. Late afternoon involves canoeing or traditional boat rides from the locals. A heavy dinner will end the day.
After an early breakfast you will then depart for Entebbe.
