I visited in April 2014
Just would like to share about a fantastic trip we had in 25 April 2014 in Kenya and Zanzibar.
After reading all kind of information about safaris, I contacted several travel companies. My goal was to find a reliable local company with a high responsibility and quality of service.
The first company I choose seemed to be fine at the beginning, but the deeper we delve into the booking process more obvious it became that it was a bad choice. As soon as we agreed on the package, the owner started changing accommodations for lower level camps, with not lowering but even raising prices, adding airfares, etc. His explanation was that our trip was in a high season, so everything was booked and prices were high. Then I emailed directly to lodges were I planed to stay to check the availability and they confirmed that rooms were available. It was enough for me to start looking for another operator.
I already knew more or less my itinerary, price range, lodges and after additional research, I sent a request to Sunset Africa Safaris and Amos answered me promptly and with all necessary details.
Now I can tell that through the whole process from the first email to our departure, Amos was our angel! He offered the best itinerary, accommodation, and price; he organized everything very professionally and smoothly; he always was in time with replying, meeting at airport, dealing with some questions; he was extremely patient with any changes, etc. As a result our trip just couldn't be better!
Beside that we had the best guide we could dream about! His name is Captain Ben in Kenya and Omar in Tanzania, he was a pilot many years ago and now already 20-30 years works as a safari driver-guide. During safari you are always in a car, some days 6-8 hours, so we were so lucky to have Captain Ben, who is a superb driver, knows all roads perfectly, and has a huge experience in finding animals! With him we always felt absolutely safe and confident, always everywhere were in time, and, of course, with him we saw all Big Five! In all places we stopped everyone knew and respected Omar. In the end of our safari we decided that he deserves the rank of General!
After safari we flew to Zanzibar and had a great time on the beach and later in Stone town.
All parts of our trip were amazing! We spent two weeks on this trip and we just can't be happier how perfectly Amos organized everything: accommodations, safari, transfers, flights, tours, even the weather! The whole tour was Hakuna Matata and absolutely fantastic!
Amos, and the Sunset Africa safaris Team!! You are great! Thank you!

Spotting elusive animals like leopards and rhinos requires experience, perseverance and some luck. Captain Ben tries his best to ensure that we don't leave disappointed. Accommodat...
Firstly, when we initially looked into booking the safari with Sunset Africa safaris, we were slightly concerned by transferring a significant amount of money overseas. However, we pleasantly surprised by Sunset's customer services and felt fully reassured by his prompt contact.
