The Land of Tallest Freestanding Mountain

Tanzania is home to some of Africa's most famous national parks and the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the Serengeti. the beautiful beaches of Zanzibar known to those who like soaking up the sun, Off Pemba and Mafia islands is a whole other kind of natural wonder, one most appreciated by the scuba divers and snorkelers who come here from around the world to experience the coral gardens, colorful fish, and crystal clear waters. Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest peak and the world’s highest free-standing mountain. Its famous for its snow-capped peak looming over the plains of the savannah. The mountain has become a major tourist attraction for mountaineers and trekkers from around the world. Tarangire National Park has one of the highest concentrations of migratory wildlife. Wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland crowd the lagoons. One of the most noticeable highlights of Tarangire National Park is the baobab trees. The park is excellent for birdwatching, with more than 300 species recorded in Tarangire. These species include buzzards, vultures, herons, storks, kites, falcons and eagles. Dar es Salaam: The National Museum, the Village Museum, and many colorful markets are well worth a visit. Numerous historical landmarks, including St. Joseph’s Cathedral, the White Father’s Mission House, the Botanical Gardens, and the old State House make for an interesting walking tour around the waterfront and city centre. Bongoyo Island, a much-loved island getaway, lies off Msasani Peninsula, about four miles north of the city. On the northwest tip of the island, day-trippers can relax under the shade of thatched umbrellas on the white-sand beach or cool off in the clear waters. Behind the beach, nature trails wind between baobab trees to the island's opposite shore. The open-air snack bar serves cold drinks and fresh barbecued seafood.

Day 1- Dept. from Kilimanjaro airport to Ngorongoro Crater

Departure from Kilimanjaro Airport to Ngorongoro Crater . Arrival at the hotel by midday for check in and lunch (at own cost).

In the afternoon, depart for a game drive at Ngorongoro National park. 

Return to the hotel for dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2 - Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast and relaxation at the hotel we will depart for the National Park where you will be taken for a game drive where you will be able to view various kinds of animals from the big five to the various different species of birds. 

In the afternoon you will stop at a picnic spot to have lunch.

Enjoy leisurely drive back to the hotel to make use of the hotel facilities such as the pool.

Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3 – Arrival at Dar es Salaam

After breakfast you will depart for Dar es Salaam by road where you will be able to enjoy the scenery on the road. After a couple of hours you will Arrive at the hotel and check in.

After arrival at the hotel , you will be able to relax and freshen up before having dinner and retiring to bed.

Day 4- Bongoyo Island

In the morning you will be ransfered from the hotel to Bongoyo Island for a picnic, snorkeling, swimming or just sun bathe on this secluded haven. You can also go for a nature trail within the beach.

This is a full day excursion. Enjoy maisha pole pole.

Day 5- Dept. from Dar es Salam – Nairobi

After breakfast before departing from the beautiful city Dar es Salaam you will be taken for a city tour .

Walks around the city center are a great way to get a feel for the culture. During the city tour you will get to visit various landmarks in the city for instance including St. Joseph’s Cathedral, the White Father’s Mission House. Museums such as the national museum of Tanzania. Monuments such as the Askari monument.

After your 5 Days in Tanzania, it is not easy for us to say goodbye.
