Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport Discover Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you will be transfer by our driver guide to Arusha Town. You will be given a briefing about your Wildlife & Wilderness Safari. Overnight at Olasiti Lodge

Days 2-3: Game Viewing in Tarangire National Park
Depart with your naturalist guide for Tarangire, Tanzania's third largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, and up to six thousand elephant. A bush walk and a cultural visit with the semi-nomadic tribes are also included. Two nights full board accommodation. Overnight at Maramboi Tented Camp or Burunge Tented Camp.

Day 4: The Great Rift Valley - Lake Eyasi
Early morning walk in Tarangire before departing for Karatu, on the outer slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater. Cross the floor of the Great Rift Valley near Lake Manyara. Enjoy the experience of shopping and bargaining for cloth, crafts and local produce in the markets of Mto Wa Mbu or Karatu. Afternoon visit to a school then a beautiful drive up the Rift Valley escarpment to Lake Eyasi for sundowners and a relaxing evening. Overnight at Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge.

Day 5: Lake Eyasi - Hadzabe & Datoga Tribes
Early morning walking and hunting/gathering with Hadzabe Bushmen or spend time participating in the morning routine of the settlement. Your local guide will interpret for you and discuss hunting and gathering techniques still used by the tribes. Be prepared for an extraordinary cross-cultural experience as you join these nomadic Bushmen in their daily life.

In the afternoon visit the Datoga, a tribe of semi-nomadic pastoralists who migrated into this area looking for good grazing land many decades ago. They have so far resisted neighbouring tribes' cultural infiltrations. The women, still wearing locally fat treated goatskin gowns, carve their faces and bodies to look prettier. It is a humbling and fascinating experience learning about their history and culture. Overnight at Kisima Ngeda Tented Camp.

Day 6: Eyasi-Karatu-Highland Hiking
Depart from Lake Eyasi in the morning and visit a local village on the way to Karatu where lunch will be provided. Depending on season and weather permitting, half-day hike options include the Empakai Crater, Olmoti Crater or the surrounding highlands. Impressive views of the landscape abound. Walking is not strenuous, but do expect some sloping terrain and at times, muddy paths. Afternoon visit to a Maasai village where herdsmen are often grazing their cattle around the crater rim. Overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House or Tloma Lodge.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Conservation and Crater
An early morning departure to the breath-taking Ngorongoro Crater with a picnic lunch. Descend into the 100-square-mile Crater to view game on the vast grasslands of the crater floor. Spectacular wildlife can be found throughout the year due to the permanent availability of grass and water. Ngorongoro is one of the most impressive game haunts in Africa and has been designated a World Heritage Site. Local wildlife includes black-mained lion, the highly endangered black rhino, wildebeest, zebra, elephant, hippo, jackal, and hyena, the most important predator within the crater. The bird life is also prolific with flocks of flamingoes on the soda lake as well as other species of water and plains birds. Overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House or Tloma Lodge.

Days 8-10: Explore Serengeti National Park
Morning drive to the Serengeti plains, stopping en route at the Olduvai Gorge where Mary Leakey discovered the remains of Australopithecus Homo habilis and Homo erectus. Serengeti is perhaps the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. These vast, seemingly unending plains are inhabited during the migration by enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra. The herds attract the attention of predators like lion, cheetah and hyena. Another interesting feature of the Serengeti is the massive granite kopjes, islands of rock standing in a sea of grass. The kopjes provide shelter to a great variety of plants and animals, from the elusive leopard to the tiny dik dik. Exploration of the legendary park is mostly by vehicle. Overnight (3 nights) at Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp.

Day 11: Serengeti & Zanzibar Island
After breakfast at the lodge, you will be transferred with a game drive en route to Seronera Airstrip for a flight to Zanzibar. Our driver guide will meet you at Zanzibar Airport and transfer to North Coast. Diner and overnight at The Z Boutique Hotel or similar Spice up your life…………Visit Zanzibar ! For many centuries, Persians, Arabs, Chinese, Indians as well as European explorers have sailed the Indian Ocean heading to the coasts of “Zinj” and Zanzibar, creating a true mosaic of different influences and styles. The Swahili culture was born there in the seventh century. Later, Kiswahili became the Lingua Franca throughout East Africa and parts of Central Africa. Stone Town is the ideal place “to feel” the atmosphere, and soul of Zanzibar. Elegant trader’s houses, old coral stone buildings set behind large carved doors, some with Koranic inscriptions in Arabic, narrow alleyways with covered balconies, wonderful shops and tiny stalls, selling local handicrafts; spice and fish market, and in the evening sounds and smells from the Forodhani Gardens where fish and lobster are grilled on barbecues. Zanzibar is known as the Spice Islands and was once the world’s leading producer of cloves. A guided tour to spice farms and plantations is an option here. Here you can see, smell and taste aromatic species, scented plants among them, guava, mangoes, vanilla, cloves, nutmeg, ginger, chillies, black pepper and cinnamon. Zanzibar is an idyllic beach holiday island, its pristine reefs, sandy white beaches and clear blue waters are among the best in the world.
