Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National
Today your guide/driver will meet and transfer you to Akagera National Park. This park was named after the Akagera River which flows on the eastern side of the park. This is also the only park in Rwanda with diverse wildlife residents of the giraffes, stray lions, visitors can also spot the hyenas, zebras, and a number antelopes. Enjoy your overnight at Akagera game lodge.
Day 2: Morning game viewing & Boat ride on Lake Ihema
After your breakfast, take a morning game drive through the tracks of the wildlife of Akagera National park. Enjoy amazing views of the towering giraffes, zebras, spotted hyenas, you may also spot the lions, bushbucks, oribi, impala, all these reside together in the park. After your lunch, embark on a boat ride on Lake Ihema with astonishing views of the hippos, crocodiles and various water birds. Return to your lodge for diner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Parc National des Volcans
Today after your breakfast, transfer to Musanze town which is the best point to commence your gorilla trip in the available lodges. Please note that it is much safer to spend a night closer to the park headquarters than miles away since you will be required to report for briefing in time.
Day 4: Gorilla tracking experience
Enjoy your early morning breakfast and proceed to the park headquarters with your guide for briefing about the cons and proms of gorilla tracking. Embark on the gorilla trail with rangers, lookout for the beautiful flora in the forest with the birds singing in the trees. You are allowed approximately 1hour with the gorillas as you watch them play, feed and associate with each other. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight after the tracking experience.
Day 5: Reserved for Departure.
