Lunch will be at Tamambo Karen Blixen Restaurant.

In the late afternoon, get back to the hotel. Dinner not included. Interesting option would be Nyama Choma Ranch with the safari cats acrobat performance at Safari Park Hotel.

Day 03: Nairobi/Amboseli

Breakfast. Drive for 4hr to Amboseli National Park. Arrival and check in. Lunch. Afternoon game drive.  Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Arid looking as Amboseli is it has, historically, supported both game and the Maasai that kept their herds of cattle here. It is thanks to the waters that run off Africa's greatest mountain that the apparently dry Amboseli, Kenya's first game sanctuary is able to support its wildlife. Mount Kilimanjaro broods high over Amboseli, generally cloaked by clouds but appearing in all its snow-shrouded magnificence from time to time. Kilimanjaro was once part of Kenya, but on the marriage of Kaiser Wilhelm of Germany Queen Victoria gifted it to her beloved grandson, whose colony Tanzania then was, as the perfect wedding present. The mountain now provides water for the park, wonderful views and, of course, the most glorious background for animal photography.

Spend two nights at Amboseli Serena Lodge or Kilima Safari Camp or Amboseli Sentrim Camp. Accommodation is in a standard room with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes a game drives and meals.

Day 04: Amboseli

Sunrise game drive. Breakasft. Morning at leisure. Lunch. Afternoon game drive with a sundowner cocktail at the Obervation Hill. Dinner and overnight.

Day 05: Amboseli/Nairobi/Mount Kenya

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for a morning flight (35 min) to Nairobi. Upon arrival, depart for a 3hr drive to the Mount Kenya. This is the tallest mountain in Kenya. Check in at Serena Mountain Lodge for lunch.

The only ‘tree hotel’ ever to be built on the slopes of Kenya’s legendary Mount Kenya, Mountain Lodge offers a matchless game viewing opportunity whilst combining a glorious panorama of mountain vistas with the primordial splendours of an ancient rainforest. Floating 2,195 m high on the flanks of Kenya’s highest mountain and secreted deep within her largest forest reserve, the lodge offers not only the champagne-clarity of mountain air, the tranquillity of the forest and a colourful cavalcade of wildlife but also the chance of scaling the icy peaks of Africa’s second-highest mountain. Guests can also awake to the trumpeting of elephant, fall asleep to the symphony of the African night or sit in stillness and observe the fascinating interplay of the animals as they arrive to drink, bathe, spar and forage around the water hole. Finally, they can venture down to the secret viewing hide by the water’s edge and experience the awesome thrill of being only meters away from some of the most massive beasts on earth.

Your stay at Serena Mountain Lodge is for 1 night in an ensuite room including all meals.

Day 06: Mount Kenya/Sweetwaters

After breakfast,  you will be driven for for 1.5hr to Olpejeta Wildlife Conservancy. Game drive enroute to the camp. Arrive  at Serena Sweetwaters Camp for lunch.  Afternoon game drive and visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary. Dinner and overnight.

The Ol Pejeta Conservancy, which is host to all the members of the ‘Big Five' (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard), has a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any Kenyan national park and is one of only four private game conservancies to have been founded in Kenya. At the forefront of the Kenyan conservancy programme, the conservancy boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, hosts the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, and shelters large numbers of rare and endangered species.

Spend one night at Serena Sweetwaters Camp or Falcon Heights Hotel or Naromoru River Lodge. Accommodation is in a standard room with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes a game drive and meals.

Day 07: Sweetwaters/ Thomson Falls

Breakfast. Drive 2hr to Thomson Falls near Nyahururu town. Check in at Panari Resort. Go round the bridge to see the water fall. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, take time to relax and absorb the calmness and the cool breeze of this high altitude location. You might also decide to enjoy the many facilities in this resort to rewind before the next part of your safari. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 08: Thomson Falls/Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, you will be driven for 2.5hrs to Lake Nakuru. Game drive then lunch in a nearby lodge.

Lake Nakuru National Park was created in 1968 to protect the huge flocks of over of the lesser flamingo that breed and nest at the edge of Lake Nakuru, giving it the characteristic pink rim. Lake Nakuru National Park, located at an altitude of 4,000-5,767 feet above sea level, covers 188 square kilometres of land of great ecological diversity - from lake water, woodland, bush grassland, to rocky ridges. The park is home to not just the lesser flamingo but over 400 species of birds and one of the few places to see the endangered white rhino. Other wildlife at the park includes lions, leopards, zebra, gazelles, eland, giraffe and the hyrax.

After the game drive, drive 1hr to Lake Naivasha. Check in at the lodge for dinner.

Spend two nights at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge or Lake Elementita Sentrim Lodge. Accommodation is in a standard room with ensuite bathroom.

Day 09: Lake Naivasha

If feeling active, take a boat trip to the Crescent Island for a guided walking tour. All meals and overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge or Lake Elementaita Sentrim Lodge.

Day 10: Lake Naivasha / Masai Mara

Early breakfast before departure for a 4.5hr drive to Masai Mara. Arrival for lunch before a late afternoon game drive.

The greatest attraction in the Mara is watching the animals in their natural element; a lion's roar, a cheetah making a kill, and the big elephant herds are all very fascinating events. You will also meet the Maasai who are the inhabitants of this reserve and are proud and largely aloof tribes who have held on to their customs and traditions for hundreds of years.

Spend three nights at Basecamp Explorer or Mara Sopa Lodge or Mara Sentrim Camp. Accommodation is in a standard room with ensuite bathroom. Your stay in Masai Mara includes game drives and meals.
