DAY 1 Itumela
Departing from the jungle of Johannesburg, at 05h00 and make our way through the bushveld with its Baobab trees via Martins Drift Border Post to Palapye. We will stop for en route breakfast and lunch. (Own expense.) At Martins Drift border you will be able to change money. We will book into our rest camp or lodge, and will enjoy dinner at the restaurant or around the camp fire. (Dinner)
DAY 2 ELEPHANT SANDS
As day break we leave Palapye to Francistown where we will enjoy breakfast en route. From here we make our way to Nata, where we will stop again en route for lunch, before we book in at Elephant Sands, “ the place where the Elephant Rules” Here we will have dinner while overlooking the Elephant waterhole. You can spot up to 800 elephants per day at the waterhole in dry season. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
DAY 3 Chobe safari lodge
Early morning rise as we already have to breakfast at 07h00. We leave Elephant Sands at 08h00 and make our way to the North of Botswana. We will have a quick stop at Panamatenga, before carrying on to Kasane, where we will enjoy lunch. At 15h00 we will go on a boat cruise on the Mighty Chobe River to spot some wildlife in the Chobe National Park. After our wildlife experience we will book into our camp or lodge. In Kasane we will visit the local store, and for those who want to withdraw and change money can do so. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
DAY 4 Victoria falls
We will be up at 05:00 to go on a 06h00 morning game drive to Chobe National Park. On our return at around 09:00, we will leave after brunch for Victoria falls, so that we can get there in time to make bookings for the optional activities such as white river rafting,bungi,big swing After setting in at the camp site or chalets we will leave to explore the magnificent Victoria Falls before we are heading back for a dinner at a restaurant. DAY 5 Victoria Falls
This day is spent at our leisure for the optional activities at the falls, and for those who want to explore town. After your activities relax around the swimming pool or explore the area before we get ready to spend the evening with a dinner. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 6 Ivory lodge
Depart after breakfast to Ivory Lodge, on the outskirts of Hwange National Park, famous grounds of the Royal Elephant Herds. Here we will go on an open vehicle game drive to spot some wildlife. The afternoon we can watch the sunset from the hide overlooking the waterhole. We enjoy a hearty dinner. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 7 Big Cave
An early morning, enjoying breakfast at 07h00, before we will leave for Bulawayo. Bulawayo is the second largest city of Zimbabwe. Here we will stop for en route lunch (Own Expense), at about 13h00. We will then make our way to Chipangali Wildlife Orphanage, where we will have a guided tour. After the tour we will head for Matopo Hills, where we will spend the night, and have a nice dinner (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 8Itumela/ Palapye
Leaving Big Cave after an early breakfast, at 07h00 for Plumtree Border Post, and then to Francistown, where we will enjoy lunch. We will then head for Palapye, where we will spend the night, and have our last dinner together, the restaurant or around the camp fire. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 9 Johannesburg
Up at 05h00 to leave Palapye at 06h00 for the Border at Martins Drift. Then we will make our way to Potgietersrus, where we will enjoy brunch, before leaving to Johannesburg where we will say our goodbyes at 18h00.
