10 days to and from Nairobi: Enjoy all the safari highlights, unspoilt culture and spectacular beauty that Kenya has in store on this 10 day safari. Whilst being accommodated in either lodge or permanent tented camps within five of the country’s top conservation reserves you will encounter untold numbers of animal, bird and plant life, not to mention the majestic big 5!

Day 1:  Nairobi    [D]

After your evening arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met at the arrival lounge by our driver guide and transferred to your city hotel for relaxation.

Day 2: Amboseli National Reserve    [BLD]

After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Amboseli National Reserve, the drive offering spectacular views of the traditional Maasai community villages along the way. Lunch will be served upon arrival. In the afternoon, we depart for game viewing in the reserve until sunset. Amboseli is famous for its vast population of its elephants as well as plenty of other wildlife including buffalo, leopard, spotted hyena, giraffe and cheetah. Bird life is plenty with a bird list that tops 300 species.

Day 3: Amboseli National Reserve   [BLD]

We spend this day with morning and afternoon game drives in the reserve, exploring the park´s mushy wetlands that derive from the streams running down the Kilimanjaro. The swamps attract plenty of wildlife, especially during the dry spells. We end this day with a Maasai village visit and obtain insight into their traditional way of life.

Day 4: Aberdares National Park    [BLD]

This day after breakfast, we drive to the central Kenyan region to the famous Aberdares National Park arriving at the Aberdares Country Club for lunch. After the meal, there will be a lodge based shuttle service to transfer us inside Aberdares National Park. There we will spend the afternoon and night viewing wildlife from the lodge’s viewing deck. At night, there are flood lights that light up the water hole providing the opportunity to see nocturnal animals that are rarely seen during the day. Aberdares National Park comprises of “Tree-Hotels” overlooking the water-hole and salt lick which attracts a host of wildlife. The lodges are designed with decks from which numerous balconies and lounges provide superb vantage points for game viewing.

Day 5: Ol Pejeta Conservancy   [BLD]

After breakfast, we drive to the nearby Ol Pejeta Conservancy arriving with game viewing until mid-day after which we proceed to camp for lunch. After relaxation, we head out for an afternoon game drive. Ol Pejeta‘s game-to-area ratio tops the Kenyan park and reserve league. It is the only park where the big 5 and chimpanzees can be seen and is also where the fastest growing population of rhino in Africa can be found.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru National Park   [BLD]

An early morning start, we depart for a game drive in Ol Pejeta and continue to Lake Nakuru National Park with game viewing en-route, arriving by mid-day for lunch at our tented camp. Lake Nakuru is world renowned as a bird watchers paradise with over 400 recorded species of birds. Other animals found in the park include white rhinos, lions, African buffalos, the Rothschild giraffe, baboons, zebras, impalas, vervet monkeys, waterbucks, and a variety of water birds. Our afternoon game drive will be directed at seeing these and many more.

Day 7: Masai Mara National Reserve  [BLD]

We enjoy breakfast at the camp and head out for our morning game drive en-route to the Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving by mid-day. Lunch will be waiting and relaxation at the camp during the heat of the day. In the afternoon, we set out for another game drive in the reserve returning to camp in the late afternoon.

Day 8: Masai Mara National Reserve   [BLD]

We spend this day with morning and afternoon game drives in the reserve. The Masai Mara is one of Africa's most famous safari destinations. World renowned for its great wildlife population, the reserve stretches 1,510 sq. km (580 sq. miles) and raises 1,500-2,170 meters above sea level. The terrain of the park is primarily grassland and riverine forest with clumps of distinctive acacia trees. This is where the Great Wildebeest Migration unfolds between the Masai Mara and the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania with over TWO MILLION wildebeest, zebra and Thomson's gazelle migrating annually.

Day 9: Masai Mara National Reserve    [BLD]

Today after breakfast, we leave our vehicles behind and head out for a morning walking safari in one of the private concessions adjacent to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This gives you an opportunity to learn animal tracking and find closer interaction with the wildlife. In the afternoon we set off on a game drive till sunset.

Day 10: Departure   [BL]

This is our last day of safari and after breakfast, we pick up packed lunches and we depart for Nairobi embarking on a final morning game drive in the Masai Mara Reserve en-route. We will arrive late in the afternoon and at the famous Carnivore Restaurant and enjoy a farewell meal (for your own account). After dinner and depending on your home bound flight, you will be transferred back to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure.
