MEALS: B = Breakfast, L = Lunch, D = Dinner
Day 1: Arrival at Chisomo Safari Camp [LD]
On arrival at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, you will be transferred by shuttle bus to Hoedspruit and onwards to Chisomo Safari Camp. On arrival you will have the opportunity to settle into your room, before being offered a light lunch. You have the remainer of the afternoon at leisure before embarking on a 3 hour sunset drive with drinks, before being taken back to camp to freshen up before dinner.
Day 2 & 3: Chisomo Safari Camp [BLD], [BLD]
The next two days are spent as follows - expect to be woken up before sunrise and gather for tea or coffee and rusks before heading out at first light. If you are lucky, the big cats will still be around after their night of hunting. There are also many other species to be seen, large and small, as well as fascinating plants and colourful birdlife. Stop halfway through the morning game drive for a hot drink before returning to the lodge for a delicious breakfast. During the rest of the day, you are likely to see wildlife like nyala antelope and vervet monkeys around the lodge.
After breakfast you will be given the option to do a game walk with your ranger and tracker. Besides the opportunity to see various creatures, this walk will enlighten you regarding the lesser known aspects of wild life such as animal tracking, medicinal plants, trees and much more. After a light lunch you will set off on a late afternoon game drive, since the lions and other predators start to become more active as the heat of the day subsides. Once sundowner drinks have been enjoyed and darkness descends, it's time to return to the safety of the Landrover and let the tracker scan the landscape with a spotlight picking out the glinting eyes of nocturnal animals. Return to the lodge for dinner, and there after enjoy the Wild African stories told by your rangers, or the traditional dancing and singing performed by the staff.
Day 4: Departure [B]
This morning after a last hearty breakfast in the African bush, you will be transferred back to OR Tambo International Airport for your onward flight. We hope to welcome you on one of our African adventures again soon.
