The Kruger National Park, similar in size to Israel, is undoubtedly one of Africa’s most legendary reserves. Well known to nature enthusiasts across the globe, this park needs little introduction. On this exciting wildlife safari, you will explore this vast wilderness both on foot and in open game drive vehicles in an attempt to locate the regions’ impressive big game and other animals. Highlights include the legendary “Big 5” - Lion, African Elephant, Leopard, African Buffalo and White Rhinoceros, while there will also be the opportunity to search for nocturnal mammals such as Large-spotted Genet, African Civet, African Porcupine, Lesser Galago and White-tailed Mongoose. Now part of the greater Kruger conservation area, Ngala was the first private reserve to be incorporated into the Kruger National Park, and the lodge boasts over 14,000 hectares of some of the best game viewing habitat in all of Kruger. Here you will have excellent chances of connecting with the normally elusive Leopard, for which the reserve is justly famed. The sandy riverbed of the Timbavati River, flanked by tall riverine forest, makes for dramatic scenery and is a good place to find ambling African Elephant bulls and lazing prides of Lion.
