Day 1: Arrival into South Africa

From the moment you touch down into Johannesburg international airport, you'll be treated as a VIP with our fast track service through customs and immigration and a VIP travel compendium to ensure an effortless safari experience.  You'll then fly to Cape Town (not included, best to combine with your international ticket which we can arrange) and road transfer with one of our private drivers to your accommodation.

Spend four nights at the owner run boutique The Three Boutique Hotel in a luxury room with breakfast included daily. The area enjoys convenient proximity to the city, the Table Mountain Cableway, as well as the beaches. The narrow little streets are lined by original Cape buildings, many of which have been beautifully restored, some now housing museums and art galleries, as well as lively sidewalk cafés and highly acclaimed restaurants.

Days 2 - 4: Cosmopolitan Cape Town

Explore Cape Town at leisure. Now known for its trendy and modern vibe, this region is often visited on foot, encompassing the historic parliament buildings, the Company Gardens and the lively café culture and boutiques of Kloof Street. We have multiple small group and private activities and tours that will entice any traveller so ask us for the 'SA with a Difference' document.

Day 5: Cape Town to Kruger

After breakfast, be ready for your private road transfer back to Cape Town Airport in time for your flight to  the Hoedspruit (note this only departs Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays). On arrival into Hoedspruit, you'll be met and transferred in private vehicle to Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge for 3 nights on an exhilarating safari with all meals and twice daily 4x4 safari activities included.

Days 6 - 7: On safari

You are in the ancient elephant route of the Mluwati Concession within the world famous Kruger. Expect outstanding wildlife experiences morning and afternoon.

Day 8: Panorama Route Private Tour

After your morning game activity and breakfast it's time to check out and meet your private driver/guide for a full day tour known as the Panorama Route. This is an excellent opportunity to see some of Mpumalanga’s most spectacular scenery such as God’s Window, with its spectacular views across the Lowveld, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, with its extraordinary rock formations, the Blyde River Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the World, the famous Three Rondavels and historic Pilgrims Rest (time permitting) where “Wheelbarrow Patterson” discovered gold.  Lunch included at renowned Harrie’s Pancakes in Graskop.

Arrive late afternoon at Casterbridge Hollow for one night in a standard room with breakfast included.

Day 9: Fly to Livingstone, Victoria Falls

After breakfast, it's time to check out and meet our driver for a transfer to the Kruger Airport. Fly to Livingstone (direct flights Monday - Saturday only) and on arrival, clear customs and immigration (visa required and available on arrival for US$50 per person) and collect your bags.

Meet the driver of the Gorges shuttle for a road transfer to Gorges Lodge. Check in and spend two nights here with meals, local brand drinks, shared transfers, sundowner cruise, guided tour and nature sanctuary visit included.  Settle into your room and then transfer into town for a sundowner cruise followed by a delectable 3 course dinner back at the lodge.

Day 10: Victoria Falls exploration

Enjoy breakfast followed by a guided visit to the Victoria Falls with some curio shopping and a packed picnic lunch on the banks of the Zambezi.  After lunch, visit the nature sanctuary and crocodile farm and then transfer back to Gorges Lodge to enjoy the evening and a supper overlooking the Batoka Gorge.

Day 11: Transfer to Hwange by road

It's an early morning so you can experience a visit to the local school to listen to the assembly singing then return for breakfast at Gorges. Pack up and embark on your road transfer to Halfway House (2.5 hrs). A Bomani Lodge driver/guide in 4 x 4 vehicle will meet you then transfer you to Bomani Lodge (1.5 hours). Check in and spend three nights here on safari with all activities, park fees, village visit and school visit, local drinks and meals included. Settle into your tent and then enjoy a late lunch followed by a game drive with sundowners by the Pan. Night drive back to the lodge to freshen up for supper in the main lodge area.

Day 12: Hwange National Park safari

Head out for an early morning game drive with a walk in Hwange Park in the acacia forests surrounding the Ngamo Plains. Return to camp for brunch and either a siesta or an hour or two in the blind overlooking the watering hole. Afternoon game drive and sundowners at Major Pan. Night drive back to the lodge to freshen up before refreshments around the campfire and supper.

Day 13: Pump Run

A full day trip through Hwange is always a guests’ favourite. During the dry season, from May to November, the camp operates a string of waterholes along the southern side of Hwange. These are usually run by diesel engines, which are operated for months at a time by local pump attendants. Guests join the ‘pump run’. Cooler boxes packed full with cold drinks, water, ice and a good picnic lunch are stacked into the truck, a trailer carrying diesel, oil, filters and rations for the pump attendants is locked on the back and off you go!  Enroute drop off diesel and provisions at numerous pumps throughout the park, weaving your way between the throngs of jostling elephant that come pouring in for the fresh water. It makes for a fun, memorable and extremely rewarding day.

Afternoon game drive back to the lodge going from Pan to Pan. Freshen up in your suite and then enjoy cocktails round the campfire and supper listening to sounds of the bush.

Day 14: Final day

Morning village visit and school tour to Ngamo village followed by a tour of Community projects. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast and prepare for the road transfer back to Victoria Falls Airport (4 hrs).   On arrival check in and catch the flight to Johannesburg.
