Day 1: Arrive Victoria Falls
Upon arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, you and the family will be warmly welcomed by our driver and transferred to your accommodation, Ilala Lodge. Spend two nights here in an interleading room with breakfast included daily.
Day 2: Victoria Falls exploration!
Explore Victoria Falls, one of the natural Seven Wonders of the World. This is the largest sheet of falling water on earth (at high waters) and a spellbinding and truly mesmerising spectacle. We can arrange all sorts of activities and tours whilst you're here, so just ask. If you want to squeeze Chobe into this itinerary, we highly recommend visiting the Falls on the day you arrive, next day head to Chobe for a half or full day private safari with our photographic partners who provide great cameras for your use!
Day 3: Victoria Falls to Linyanti region
After breakfast, you'll be met and transferred to the Kasane Airport (crossing the border along the way which is very exciting with local life unfolding before your eyes) for a light aircraft flight to the Linyanti region of Botswana. On arrival at the airstrip, you'll transfer with a guide in open sided 4x4 game viewing along the way to camp. Spend three fantastic nights on a fully inclusive stay basis at Lagoon Camp in Kwando Private Reserve staying in their family tent. Activities concentrate on game drives and boat cruises. Fishing is also available at certain times of the year (catch and release).
Day 4 & 5: Exploring the Linyanti Region
On safari in the Kwando private reserve within the Linyanti area. Please note this itinerary and costing includes use of a private vehicle and guide for your family giving you the ultimate freedom to explore.
The wildlife here is spectacular and the region is famous for enormous herds of elephant and buffalo. It is also known for its wild dog population.
Day 6: Kwando to Okavango Delta
After breakfast and morning safari activity with the family, it's time to it's time to head to the airstrip for your light aircraft transfer to the Okavango Delta. This flight is a safari activity in itself as you fly low over the Delta and can spot wildlife below! Arrive at Kwara Camp and enjoy three nights here on a fully inclusive basis, again with a private 4x4 vehicle and guide. Please note accommodation here is in two tents as they don't have family tent. This means if you're with children under 18 one parent and one child per tent (part of the family safari fun and adventure!).
Days 7 & 8: Freedom to explore as a family with own guide!
This camp is renowned for being one with year round delta diversity with mokoro trips, guided walks with armed guides and motor boating trips. In addition day and night game drives are taken to explore the area which offers spectacular scenery with scattered herds of plains game and ever-attendant predators!
Day 9: Okavango Delta to Central Kalahari
After breakfast, you'll bid your guide goodbye at the airstrip and catch a light aircraft to the Central Kalahari. On arrival, you'll be met by your private guide and transfer to Tau Pan Camp situated on the edge of the beautiful Tau Pan. It commands stunning views of the permanent Tau Pan waterhole and the endless Kalahari horizon.
Day 10: Kalahari exploration
You have a full day to enjoy the serenity of the Kalahari. The Kalahari is characterised by vast open spaces, endless horizons, rolling golden grasslands and flaming sunrises and sunsets. Within this remote expansive landscape there is a rich diversity of life. The Central Kalahari is home to numerous unique desert dwelling species, each with their own remarkable adaptation to survive the parched landscape.
Day 11: Departure day
After morning activity and breakfast, it's time to bid the camp team goodbye and transfer to the airstrip. Catch your last light aircraft transfer to Maun where this itinerary ends.
