6 Days Gorilla Safari looking for the gorillas within Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This gorilla safari incorporates game viewing inside Queen Elizabeth as well as chimpanzee tracking within Kibale Forest.
This 6 Days Uganda Gorilla Tour and Wildlife Safari commences and finishes in Kampala. This safari will take you to 3 of Uganda’s national parks: Bwindi Gorilla Forest, Kibale Forest and Queen Elizabeth. This Uganda Gorilla Tour will begin with chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest; a tropical rainforest home to 13 primate species. Tracking these playful chimpanzees racing through the green forest is a very memorable experience. Besides chimpanzees, the forest is in addition home to several other primates including the black & white colobus monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys and the Red tailed monkeys, including several others. From the Bigodi Wetland, have a nature walk across the trail will give you an opportunity to see various swamp plus forest species including the Blue Turaco, Manikins, Black casques hornbills, Flycatchers, Black and White Hornbills, Woodland Kingfishers, Yellow Backed Weavers, Cuckoos and Wagtails plus several others.
This tour will lead you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Situated on the savannah plains just below Mountain Rwenzori, this park prides in a great diversity of African wildlife including elephants, leopards, lions, hippos and buffaloes. In the Kalinzu forest reserve, you will track the elusive chimpanzees which are man’s closest cousins. In Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will track the tree climbing lions resting in the big fig trees; this is really wonderful experience that you enjoy.
You will also proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable national park to track the endangered amazing mountain gorillas within that moist tropical forest. There are a number of habituated gorilla families in Bwindi. Staring deep into the large brown eyes of the gentle gorilla giants is certainly a very thrilling unforgettable experience worth enjoying. Additional activities to be enjoyed include thrilling nature walks to spot orchids, birds and monkeys.
Day 1: ENTEBBE - KAMPALA (37 KMS) (DRIVE TIME: APPROX. 45 MIN - 1 HOUR)
Meet and greet at Entebbe International Airport by Crystal Guide who will warmly welcome you and facilitate seamless arrival formalities. After a short transfer to your hotel.

DAY 2: KAMPALA –TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK (4 HOURS)
You will be met by our safari guide who will brief you about this safari before we drive westwards towards Fort Portal to the Kibale Forest National Park (about 5 hours). Traveling on both asphalt and unpaved roads, you pass through traditional Ugandan Villages where you see people at work tending their traditional crops of millet, sorghum, beans and maize. The lush rolling hills of this region provide good "photo opportunities”. As you approach Fort Portal in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains, you enter Uganda's famous tea plantation region. A carpet of green spreads before you, as far as the eye can see, and seems an unusual contrast to the countryside through which you have just passed. You arrive at Fort Portal, then, continue toward Kibale Forest, one of the great African rainforest research reserves. Years of study by scientists (who have cut a grid through the forest) have habituated many of its animals to human observers. You will arrive in time for lunch at the lodge and in the afternoon you will go for the chimpanzee tracking.

DAY 3: TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK, BOAT CRUISE AND DO CRATER DRIVE
After breakfast, embark on the transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park 157km about 4 hours’ drive from Kibale. The journey offers the scenic views of the magical Mountains of the moon that stand high up in the clouds at an elevation of 5,109m above sea level towards the west.
You will arrive in Queen Elizabeth National park early for lunch after which you will embark on the crater drive in the afternoon for amazing scenic viewing. The range of explosion craters lay in a se- quence justifying the work of the earth processes that characterized the area. Crater lakes like Lake Nyamunuka, Lake Murumuli and Lake Kitagata can be seen on this drive. After lunch, you will gather at Mweya for a recreational afternoon launch cruise leaving at 02:00pm taking 2 hours exploring the magical offerings of Kazinga Channel including the sights of water birds and wild game drinking on the channel side, the Nile crocodile and the Hippos. The 45m channel that stretches from Lake George to Lake Ed- ward has tranquil waters that always give pleasure and psychological satisfaction to any traveler on Uganda safaris. Experience the wildlife of Queen Elizabeth National park in a new, unique way. Wake up early in the morning catch the sunrise, as you silently fly over the plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Admire the herds of buffaloes, elephants and enjoy the serene tranquillity of the African bush.
You will take off early at dawn for a flight that lasts for approximately 1 hour. Rise as the sun rises and float in whatever direction the winds of the morning takes you. Fly higher than the trees and hills and enjoy the best of Uganda, with many great photo opportunities of the scenery and wildlife below. After a smooth landing you can celebrate this amazing adventure with a glass of sparkling juice before returning to your lodge to continue your safari.

DAY 4: MORNING GAME DRIVE-TRANSFER TO BWINDI.
Wake up very early for a cup of coffee before setting off for the game drive activity in the savannah game park of Queen Elizabeth. The early departure at 06:00 gives you an opportunity to see night hunters like hyenas getting back to their hiding places and early risers setting off to look for what to eat. Go for an early Game drive. Drive from Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive through the Kasenyi tracks gives a probable opportunity to see a range of game including; Lions, buffalo, elephants, elu- sive leopard (if lucky), antelopes among other wildlife. You will pass through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park where you have chances of spotting tree climbing lions lying on tree branches in the midmorning warm sunshine. Proceed to Bwindi in the evening and check in to your lodge for relaxation and overnight at Gorilla Safari Lodge
DAY 5: GORILLA TREKKING
It is this long waited date when you will come across the critically endangered mountain gorillas
that only exist in Bwindi and Virunga Vol- canoes.
You will wake up early for a heavy breakfast before gathering at the Park headquarters Rushaga for briefing at 08:00 about the conduct of gorilla trekking. You will head to the forest after briefing in search of these apes and though the trek is a bit challenging, it is one of those activities that you will never forget to have done in Uganda. The 2 – 8 hours’ activity involves hiking up the hills, descending down the valleys, walking through swamps and maneuvering the way through thickets which have formed the background of this Impenetrable forest before coming in direct contact with gorillas. The one full hour is at your disposal to maximize your experience with gorillas as you them forage, play, socialize and also gaze at you in a sign of welcoming and saying good bye. The experience is rewarding and worthy undertaking. Your picnic lunch will take you through the activity after which you will descend to the lodge for relaxation. In the evening, you can visit the communities in Rubuguri area to have a taste of the surrounding people. You will spend an overnight at Gorilla Safari Lodge
DAY 6: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK-KAMPALA
After your breakfast, you will drive back to Kampala with lunch along the way; passing through rolling hills and terraced landscapes of western Uganda. A brief stopover at the Equator will provide you with an opportunity of photography and informative talks. You will also stop at drum and craft makers and later transfer to the airport for your outbound flight or reserve accommodation in Kampala for overnight(at an extra cost).
