I visited in September 2012
Quite a few years ago I contacted Busanga Safaris in response to an advert in BBC Wildlife magazine. From that first call Tony Mckeith and I have periodically been putting the world (or at least Africa) to rights ever since.
Busanga Safaris have now arranged three safaris for us.The first was to the Kafue (with our son incurring no single supplement). At two of the camps we visited we were the only clients which is is just how I like it! The second was to south Luangwa where I will be forever grateful to Tony, the camp owners and staff when, thanks to BA's inefficiency, I was left without my belongings including most of my film. They all rallied round to supplement the clothing I stood up in when I arrived!
In 2012 Busanga arranged a safari to southern Tanzania for us. This was to repeat a safari we had made 5 years previously and to meet up again with a guide who looked after on our first visit. This trip was purely to our own specifications and went, as far as Busanga was concerned, without a hitch.
All these journeys have been arranged flawlessly and meticulously. As Busanga specializes in Africa I feel that we get good value from our hard saved money.
The most important aspect of booking with this company is the personal and personable attention we receive from Tony, Clare and his son Tyrone.
Why would we book with anyone else!?
I've just returned from an amazing month away travelling to Rwanda, Zambia and Zimbabwe organised by Tony McKeith of Busanga Safaris. I've travelled in Africa for many years with Tony and he always works hard to make sure I get exactly the experience I want and this epic trip totally surpassed expectations. Each lodge was perfect, and the wildlife out of this world...
We booked a trip to Zambia and had 7 nights in South Luangwa and 4 nights in Chongwe.Tony McKeith of Busanga safari made all the arrangements and it was an unforgettable trip for us. It was an amazing holiday for me and my son and daughter. After only 4 nights we had already seen 8 leopards, 11 lions (eating a buffalo) a bush pig, elephants, pukus (so cute), buffal...
Travelled to Kafue National Park, which I think is one of the best. Stayed at Mukesese camp that has a brilliant location - very rich in plentiful diverse wildlife. Superb guides. Great options of hide, vehicle, boat and by foot safaris. Element or remoteness very attractive. Loved the authenticity of a comfortable well managed safari camp. The wildlife is not on t...
Thank you so very much.
You managed to create the most incredible and wonderful honeymoon for us. Every stay and location was excellent although one stood out miles ahead from the rest. The Kitcheche Mara camp was simply superb. You will find our review on TripAdvisor linked to the Mara camp website. We had the experience of a life time that...
I first met Tony at a travel show last year. I had visited Africa several times as I am a keen wildlife photographer and discussed going to Zambia which I had not visited. We discussed my requirements and Tony sent me a few options. I contacted him again this year and visited Zambia in October. I visited two camps in Kafue and two in South Luangwa. All camps were g...
I went to Kenya last spring to volunteer in the Masaai Mara and got in touch with Tony to plan a few days safari at the end of my trip. His suggestions were wonderful and varied and all of the arrangements were expertly taken care of. I visited Lewa Conservancy which was a highlight of my trip and never would have known about it had Tony not suggested it. I sho...
We have recently returned from a trip to South Luangwa NP, booked through Busanga Safaris, staying at Shenton's Kaingo and Mwamba camps. This proved to be our best safari yet! Tony was very helpful and knowledgable, all went smoothly, both camps were superb. For wildlife action and photography it could not be bettered, I would thoroughly recommend Busanga Safaris a...
We have known Tony and Tyrone McKeith for a number of years and finally got round to safaring with them. After a few discussions with Tony over coffee to discuss options, we left the organising/itineray of our trip to Tony. He delivered a safari that offered all the best Zambia has to offer through game drives, bush walks and boating trips.
My husband and I wanted to go to Kafue National Park and South Luangwa and we reviewed camps in both areas. We came across Busanga Safaris as they avoided single supplements, because my sister-in-law was interested in coming with us. We sent an email to Tony outlining an itinerary and within half an hour Tony was on the ‘phone discussing our proposals and suggest...
I first came across Busanga Safaris at a Destinations exhibition where I was immediately struck by the notice 'No Single Supplement'(rare indeed in safari companies). I have been on 2 trips to Zambia with them and both were totally brilliant. All the lodges I stayed at were different but extremely comfortable and the food was fantastic. While I did not see as much ...
