After border formalities you will be picked up on the other side of the Zambezi River and transferred to Kasane.  There is an opportunity to do any last minute shopping in Kasane, as there are no shops within the Park. A short briefing will follow on some pertinent facts such as safety, and some regional information.

At 09h30 guests board the boat and commence a 3 hour boat cruise into the Chobe National park. The river cruise is considered one of the highlights of the trip, as one gets the opportunity to get up close and personal with fantastic birdlife, hippos, crocodiles, and of course scores of elephant and Cape buffalo that make their way down to the river to quench their thirst. The boat cruise ends at 12h30 where your safari guide will be waiting to join you and then do a game drive into the park, exploring the riverfront en route to Camp. This is the best time to see Chobe’s large herbivores making their way down to the river to drink.

Return to camp shortly after sunset for drinks around the camp fire and dinner. (FB)

Guests are woken at dawn with warm water being poured into their basins and a friendly Botswana “dumela” (good day). After a light breakfast, you do a last game drive out of the National Park, to be dropped off in Kasane/Kazungula between 08h30 and 09h00.

You will be picked up at the border and transferred directly to the put-in spot for the overnight river safari trip. After a short briefing by the guide we start the drift down to 'Bovu Island'. Stop on an island for lunch.Take out at around 17h00 at “Bovu Island” in the middle of the Zambezi. The island is still in a very pristine condition and we will do a short walk on the island.
