Day 1: Arrive in Livingstone.
Pick up from the airport and transfer to your Lodge. Afternoon transfer to the Victoria Falls and sundowner drink next to the Zambezi River.
Day 2: Overnight Water Rafting
Pick up 9:30am from your accommodation and transfer to our check-in spot, next to the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls. Your guide will give you a complete trip briefing regarding the logistics and the safety of the trip. Your gear for the overnight will be loaded onto our vehicles and transferred to our evening campsite. After the briefing you will be given a life jacket, paddle and helmet and you’ll start walking down the trail to the Boiling Pot, where your rafts and guides will be waiting for you.
After practicing your paddling and getting used to your guide’s quick commands, you will start rafting from rapid #1 to rapid #21 (25kilometers). Some world class rapids will be tackled on the river today, #4 Morning Glory, #5 Stairway to heaven, #6 Devil’s toilet bowl, #7 Gulliver’s travel, #8 Midnight Dinner (or the Muncher), #11 Overland truck eater, #13 the Mother (and the three ugly sisters), #15 the Washing machine, #18 Oblivion…
Upon arrival on the beach at rapid #21, the camp will be ready and you will be welcomed by our staff with cold drinks and snacks. Dinner will be served around a camp fire on the beach.
Overnight in tents on the beach. (Mosquito proof tents, and the iso-mattresses provided – Please bring your own sleeping bag, or hire from us for U$10)
Day 3: (Sunday) Rafting to Lower Moemba and transfer back to Livigstone
Wake up at around 7am. Tea, coffee and breakfast. Today’s rafting section will take you from rapid #21 to rapid « Lower Moemba ». A lot of grade five rapids on offer again, but progressively the tranquil pools in between the rapids become longer, giving you more time to enjoy the splendour of the Batoka gorge. Lunch at mid-day on the side of the river. We will take out upstream from rapid Lower Moemba and start our ascent to the top of the gorge, where a magnificent view and cold drinks will be waiting. Drive back to town through the African bush in a 4WD vehicle, passing several traditional Zambian villages. We will drop you back at your accommodation at around 16h00
